Work and sunshine, IDOL

It has been rather cold the last nights and we have had frost! In September! That is way too early and I refuse to wear socks before October :-) But the nightsky is just beautiful when it's so clear and brisk air. The moon is half and shines like a big flashlight and there is that star beside the moon, I don't know the name but it's so big and clear. Anyone knows the name of it? Even here in Upplands Väsby you can see a lot of stars at night and I just love walking Hilma at night this time of year, before the ice comes. But the days have been filled with sunshine and if the mornings start with -1 or -2C the day temperature goes as high as 18-19C which is great. I have a lot to do at work now. On Monday our next class comes in and we are having the class at our own conference room. There are only 5 of them and we can do it and thus save money. We have a beautiful kitchen and lounge area where we will have coffebreaks. I will make the sandwiches myself and I will also bake so...

H.E.A.T still on Svensktoppen :-), more photos

Yes, H.E.A.T are still on Svensktoppen and now they are the only ones remaining from the Swedish tryouts for Eurovision song contest. That's really great! I place 2 more photos from the föreningsmässa here. One is of me and Ann-Marie behind our table and the other one shows Rubina and Gun-Britt having sitting-down-gymnastics. It's a special program made for us that have difficulties moving like others. Small but effective moves and to good music. I have been to my workcoach today and as always that is so interesting. Could it be because you speak about yourself ;-). Anyway we worked for 2 hours and it was great. I get to think a lot and more deep. I do have a job now but I have to go the whole program because I still get paid from the Goverment which is great. Now all me and Richard have to do is to build the business and we are on the way. It's going so well, knock on wood, right now and it's a pleasure to work. I do a bit of everything and I get to use most of my skil...

H.E.A.T on TV, me on Föreningsmässa at Stinsen

Yesterday H.E.A.T was on Swedish Television NöjesBobster and played their Straight for your heart as well as being interviewed and fixing a hardrock hairdo on a little boy in the audience. You can check it out here . Today despite it's Saturday I was up early to go to the Föreningsmässa at Stinsen where 50 different associations presented their activities among them we at the Rheumatic association. We, that was me and Ann-Marie that was there already at 9.45 AM to put up our stand. I think we did a great job with the table, the rollup and presenting all the different items. We gave away for free handles that is great to have when you are out shopping a lot and it's heavy and the bag cut into your hand. Then this handle can relieve that and even the weight. We had 250 handles and they were almost out after only 3 hours. We also gave away candy which was very popular as well (it is Saturday and allowed to eat :-D) Tonight we are going to eat at the Chinese restaurant in Märsta wi...

Little Saturday, H.E.A.T on Swedish Television Friday 7.45 PM

When I was young(er) we used to call Wednesday "LittleSaturday" because it was midweek and too long to the weekend so we went out on discos and partied. Nowadays Saturday often means a time to rest after a hard week and Wednesdays is just another day in the week. I never thought that day would come way back then. Elder people like Mom and Dad were so boring never going out never doing anything funny - and now I'm there myself. Preferring to stay at home before going out. Sad really but I guess every age has its beauty and desires and in the age I'm now I prefer peace, calm, meditative music - at least that is what I tell myself. Sometimes I really do but as you might have read in my blog you know I'm far from the calm, peaceful stayathome person I think I am :-)). Sometimes I really need my calm and then I try to go to a spa for a weekend. That IS really peaceful. Get some treatments, eating good, getting in the meditative state of mind you do when on Spa. I like ...

Week update, Birthday and more

I know, I have been so bad in updating my blog this week but I hope you forgive me :-). I started my new job on Monday and since then it has really been crazy. I mean for 8 months I have been doing practically what I want at the time I want and noone has asked me to perform except for deaths, funerals, caring for parents, children and husband but apart from that :-)) So now I have to adjust to getting up early in the morning again. I now get up at 5.45AM and starts work 7.30AM which is human I think. I am supposed to stop working at 11.30AM but it's hard now in the beginning while building this to just drop everything but I try. Tuesday was my birthday and it started in a very nice way by Jo calling me from La Mirada, LA at 6.20. She sang Happy Birthday and Feliz Cumpleanos to me which was great. Then we chatted for a long while which was so nice. I loved hearing her voice after such a long time and sometimes I wish it wasn't so many miles between us, especially since we met la...

First day at my new job, Lisa returns home after a year in USA

Lisa who returned home today :-) Yes, today was my first day and I was so looking forward to it and are so ready to work again. However it is like being a newborn again :-) I mean this is a new branch and I don't know that much about it but I'm looking forward to learning. Also to build an administration from nothing, trying to see structure and organize in a way that is easy and functional it's a challenge and so much fun. It will take some time though to get everything where I want it to be but we will get there. That I'm completely sure about. After work I went straight to Arlanda where we met Lisa who returned from USA after 13 months. It was me, Hasse, Gunilla and Klara and more than one tear was shed when she arrived. So nice to see her after that long time but of course she was very tired and they soon headed for Gävle where Gittan (her grandma) had made lunch for them. It will probably take some time for her to adjust to both the time and everything else here. I...

Old photo of H.E.A.T Jona and Weekendupdate

This is a photo taken the day before the final of the Swedish Eurovision contest. The guy to the right is a radio reporter that desperately was trying to get autographs from the contestants. I heard him on the radio and when I arrived at the hotel I helped him get Jonas down to the lobby just in time before the radio show ended. Meanwhile he was interviewing me, live on radio. That was so much fun. This photo was taken of us by the other radio reporter and featured on their homepage. I was supposed to go and see my friend Anne in Norrtälje on Thursday but she called me Wednesday and said she had a cold. I'm glad she did because since Hasse and me both are in the risk groups we try to avoid "flupeople". So instead I did "nothing" and since my shoulder still is bothering me it was rather nice. By nothing I mean of course all the ordinary things you do :-) Friday and a meeting with Rosersberg's Kamratförening (Rosersberg's friends) where I was voted as secr...

Doctor's appointment

Today I went to see my doctor. My asthma wasn't that good and I also discovered my curve looked like COL which isn't good. He thinks my aches right now in the shoulder and the swolling I had on my wrist and foot before is due to my situation. Also the fact that I have gained weight without eating more is due to this. As I might have said before my body is made for the stoneage and not modern times. I asked my doctor if they had a pill I could get to make my body realize we are in the 21th century but he only laughed :-)). So I have to live with this until my situation gets calmer and my body finally will realize there is no war nor any danger. I will however take a cortison-cure that is start with 30 mg and slowly go down til zero. And I also got a new medicine Cymbalta which is supposed to take away pain and also in a small way tell my body it's modern times now ;-) I sure hope it will work. Mom is worse again and I think it's because the trauma of felling out of her b...

JOB OFFER

On Friday I got a call from a former colleague that has started his own business. He needed one to take care of all administration halftime and had been recommended me by others. I went there Monday morning and he hired me!!! Isn't that great news? I know that you who read Facebook already knows this but for all others it might be news. I'm so happy about this. Not only do I know him, it's my former place of work although in different localities, I get to work between 7.30-11.30 which is great workinghours I think. I start Monday 14, just one day before my 55th birthday! The business is to Energydeclare buildings as consultant but also to educate future energyconsultants. The firm is called Energi & Utbildning i Sverige AB (Energy & Education in Sweden AB) EUIS . So that made me very happy yesterday. Something that didn't make me happy was the pain I have in my right shoulder, arm and back. It hurt so much that I'm on painkillers and can just go by. Tomorro...

PARTY, PARTY WITH H.E.A.T FAMILY AND FRIENDS

What a night!! It was the most wonderful, fun party ever. Thanks to all our friends, neighbours and H.E.A.T with families. The preparations actually started a long time ago with me saying to Hasse one morning: I think we should have a big party. And Hasse answered: I just thought so too. So the stage was set. How to do? I said that I didn't want to slave in the kitchen. I was thinking of having it outside while Hasse thought inside. I said is it even possible to have 42 guests sitting in our livingroom? So we contacted a friend who is caterer and has a business Festspecialisten and he came over, looked at our room, measured and went to home to think. We got a suggestion from him that we could seat everyone so we went ahead. We hired everything from him like tables, chairs, porcelin, glasses etc. We also took the food from him and we had a buffé with chickenspit, sirloinspit, salmonspit with sauces, sallat, coleslaw, Quiche Lorraine, bread and butter and for dessert cheesecake and ...

IKEA

Today I have first been to TSN to see my coach and teacher Ylva. It was a very intense, good, interesting and gave me a whole lot and I'm really looking forward to our next meeting. I have a feeling this can turn out to be something very good for me. When I came home I just made a lunchbox and went straight to Jonas and we had lunch together before going to IKEA. We were to buy a new bedmattress for his new bed. While eating Dave and Jossa came and they also came along. Luckily Jonas checked if the mattress was in stock at Barkarby but no so we headed to Uppsala. It's a completely new built IKEA and the funny thing is that it looked just like the one I visited in Los Angeles. We had real fun while going through IKEA and we managed to shop a little bit more, don't we always when we are there :-) Even I bought some small stuff which we both needed and didn't need. Tomorrow I'm going to take a lot of bloodtests and I can't eat before that. I'm seeing my doctor ...
