Long, long time overdue....long post

I just saw that I haven't written since February 17 and now it's June 10. Wow, shame on me and where did that time go? February was filled with annual meetings and interviews. I helped my sister recruit a dentist nurse to the clinic and I found a perfect match. I had 35 applications and she was the one I felt was right just by reading her CV. So now she has been working with my sis for 2 months and they both (and the others at the clinic) are very happy. Then it was annual board meeting at my work and I was elected to the board which really is something big and shows a big appreciation for my work. March was Easter month and of course a couple of dinners here at home with the boys and Mandy. Jonas was on a European and Swedish tour with Martina Edoff. He also went to Milan for a concert with the band TREAT.  Easter dinner with the boys, Helen and her family Pie for dessert One major thing that really took all my "extra" time from January was plan...

November 23

OMG I just saw I haven't written anything since November 11. Bad Mia ;-) Lights at Kungsgatan, Stockholm I can just say that my days and weeks are so full now that when I have some moments I just want to sit down and do nothing. At most I write short on FB or Instagram but not anything else. I know, if I go in here every day it wouldn't be that much to write but I am so so tired nowadays. Sisters on the balcony of our hotel room I think you would be too if you lived in Sweden. This November has been the darkest ever! I'm not sure but I think we have seen the sun maybe a couple of hours the whole month. It's not even very light but kind of dusk all day. And this makes you even more tired. I am longing for next weekend when we can light all the advent lights. In fact there was a ceremony yesterday in Stockholm where they lit 700 000 lights in Stockholm. Birgit Bidder in concert Back to the last weeks event. As I wrote last I was to go on a concert at ...

And I'm going :-)

I did manage to catch my favorite bird at last :-) I have been wanting to go to LA and visit my sister and my American relatives for some time now. It never seems to be the right time. So much to do and the cost. BUT now I have done it. I have booked my trip and I will go April 9 and stay until April 26 :-) Dana point last time I visited. Norbert was kind and took me to different places. You can understand I'm so looking forward to it. I haven't been over for 3 years and that is a long time not seeing the ones you love. It was kind of hard finding tickets over since it involves Easter and I suppose many are going to visit then. I looked on different sites and I just saw the tickets going one after one in a fast pace so finally yesterday I just went ahead :-) Flying British airways as before but home I will go on an American airlines plane. BA and AA are partners so that's why. Me and my sis Jo Besides that joyful news I have been to Gothenburg on a c...

H.E.A.T news and other news

I don't know if you have seen the exciting news about H.E.A.T? They are to release their new album "Tearing down the walls" in April and their first singel will come out already in February :-) They have also released some dates for touring including a Swedish tour in April, a big concert in Madrid in March where they will support one of my favorite bands - Scorpions. Who doesn't love "Wind of change", "Send me and angel" and many more. I would have love to be there but the tickets were already sold out :-( They will also go to USA and Chicago to headline the Melodic Rockfest. It's also their first ever concert in USA. They will also headline Firefest in Nottingham in October. What's more they have been nominated as best live act 2013 by The Rock fusion award.  Vote here! I do hope they win because they really deserve it. They are fenomenal live. If you haven't seen them yet now is your chance.  Jonas has also got his f...

Brunch cruise in Stockholm archipelago

What a day we had picked for our brunch cruise!! The weather was gorgeous, around 23C, sunshine and a breeze.  Me and Helen on deck   The new ride at Grona Lund After finally finding a parking place on Strandvagen, which isn't easy, we headed to the boat. It's a steamship called Stockholm.   The Danish Royal ship - Dannebrogen On the opposite quay was the Danish royal ship, Dannebrogen. We thought it must have already come for the Princess wedding on June 8. The Danish royals always stays on that boat during Royal parties instead of a hotel or castle.   My beautiful sister in the ship and you can see the brunch table behind . As soon as we had left the brunch started. There were all sorts of things, smoked salmon, herrings in all forms and shapes (which I don't eat), sausages, salads, bread, meatballs, chicken and much much more.   Stockholm is beautiful! The dessert table was just delicious!! And so it kept on. We were out fo...

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
