September post

Windy and grey  Last I wrote it was August and summer. Now we have September and it's autumn! Well, the temperatures are some day quite decent but others, huuh, it really feels cold. We have had a lot of rain as well but I like this. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are shifting in different colors from green, to yellow, read and more. It's beautiful. The air is fresh and easy to breathe. What have I been up to then since last?  Well,  a whole lot.  Hasse and I went on a luxury cruise (still one of my 60th birthday gifts) with extra all. Fantastic suite cabin, VIP treatment all the way which meant going onboard before everyone else, having a VIP lounge etc. So nice. The trip was very calm and by that I mean the sea. Me and the board members by the dinner table at Torpa Inn I went to my sis to have my teeth checked, and yes she is a dentist Then we celebrated Mandy on August 29. I went to see my doctor to have a certificate so ...

Oh my God

The Christmas smorgasbord I just realized I haven't written anything since November 23! But I can tell you I haven't been lazy but there has been so much going on that I haven't had the strength to write. I had meetings that week and I was supposed to be at a conference hotel for lunch that Friday but I was to tired I had to cancel it. So instead I baked safron buns (!) and made chocolate troufles with ginger.  The ferry On December 1 it was Staffan's birthday (Hasse's oldest son) and I worked and worked at my job. Thursday I and Hasse were supposed to go to the theatre and see Come again Charlie, which was one of my birthday presents - thank you Pär and Brita. But Hasse wasn't feeling well so instead I asked Linnea, my bonus grand daughter if she wanted to go and she was very happy that I asked. We had a really good time and the play, which was a comedy, was funny but also with a message which made you laugh and then stop. It was about the si...

November 23

OMG I just saw I haven't written anything since November 11. Bad Mia ;-) Lights at Kungsgatan, Stockholm I can just say that my days and weeks are so full now that when I have some moments I just want to sit down and do nothing. At most I write short on FB or Instagram but not anything else. I know, if I go in here every day it wouldn't be that much to write but I am so so tired nowadays. Sisters on the balcony of our hotel room I think you would be too if you lived in Sweden. This November has been the darkest ever! I'm not sure but I think we have seen the sun maybe a couple of hours the whole month. It's not even very light but kind of dusk all day. And this makes you even more tired. I am longing for next weekend when we can light all the advent lights. In fact there was a ceremony yesterday in Stockholm where they lit 700 000 lights in Stockholm. What a wonderful trip and concert this was!

Since last I wrote I have been on a trip to the archipelago of Sankt Anna in Ostergotland This is where we were together with my good friend Ingvor. We took my little blue car and down we went. It's not that far. It takes around 3,5 hours but that includes a stop for lunch. We had lunch at Soderkoping's brunn which is a very old brunn in fact the second oldest company in Sweden. It was founded in 1774. After the lunch which was served on the glassed veranda (not very nice when it was over 30C) we drove the last bit down to Stegeborg's garden hotel which was the most delightful little hotel that I found just 2 days before we went.  The hotel - beautiful surroundings The thing is that I had previously booked a hostel by the sea but then I read that it didn't have a toilet or shower en suite but you would have to go down a steep stair to get to it and that is was a shared shower and toilet like for both men and women. Not interested in that! And the st...
