Hasse's birthday

Today was Hasse's birthday and we celebrated him both on Friday and today. Friday we had a very good friend over for coffee and today we also had friends over for coffee and cake :-)  The cake! Friends, Hasse and Emil It was also the last day of the step competition and I'm sorry to inform you that I didn't reach San Diego, but I did went as long as to Oceanside. All this since March 22. Not too bad I think.   This is how far I've walked, 138 km! and the number of steps in that time. You can't see LAX but there is where I started and you see my little figure in the right corner. H.E.A.T is doing great on their tour and have been on a festival in Germany, in Nottingham at Rock City and today at a big festival in Rotherham. Next stop will be Glasgow. Here's a review of their gig in Helsinki during Easter: H.E.A.T REVIEW I hope you all have a great week. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when I will receive the price I won for ...

Step competition

I don't think I have told you that we have a step competition at work? Anyway we walk for "Save the Children" and every 7000 step we donate a certain amount so we try to walk as much as we can. We can make our own route so we actually can see how far we've gone. I first choose two places in Sweden but decided that was boring. So instead I said I would walk from LAX to La Mirada. OK, I did that in 4 days so now I'm on my way to San Diego. I'm at the moment somewhere between Laguna Beach and Laguna Niguel :-) In 22 days I have walked 83 km!! That is quite good for one like me, with inflammations in the pelvis and with sever pain every step! But of course I'm as stubborn as a donkey ;-) so I keep walking. One of my co-workers is already in La Jolla and one is at Dana point (beautiful). The last day to register is April 7 (Hasse's birthday) and I still have 117 km to go so I won't go the whole way but still I'm proud of me being able to wa...

Opera, surgery and walking

This Friday my brother-in-law was operated and we really need all good thoughts and prayers because it didn't go as planned. He's now i ICU and they couldn't complete the surgery as they wanted to. He and my sister lives in California so it's very far away and I'm here in Sweden frustrated cause I can't do anything. I would probably not be able to do anything if I'm in place either but at least I could be to some comfort and also helping out with the things you don't really want to do in times like this - like cooking, cleaning and shopping. I am happy though because their girls came and has been there the weekend so at least they have each other. Otherwise here in Stockholm things are really back to normal. We have had some snow (not much) and below 0 degrees so it's "nice" and icy outside which means I don't go out. I'm scared to fall again and hit my head or even worse ;-) break something. I hate it when it is like this. Last...
