HOT HOT H.E.A.T

No more snow :-) and of course as soon as we switched to winter tires the snow and ice was gone and now we have around + 6-7 C. It's very dark though. When I go to work in the morning at 5.45 AM it's completely dark and the sun doesn't rise until around 7.15AM and down at around 4PM and it's grey. The positive is that we now can light candles inside, snuggle up in the sofa watching TV without feeling guilty that you're not outside :-) Last Saturday we have good friends over for dinner which was very nice. I had made Creme Ninon for starter which is a green pea soup with champagne. Main course was my salmon gratin with a delicious white wine sauce and for dessert a chocolate fudge pie with rasberries and icecream. We served a White Zinfandel, Beringer to drink and that wine is so good. Today October 25 the first snow this season (not counting the snow at the beginning of the year) fell in Stockholm. As you might remember I'm not a fan of snow. Well, that is I like snow but I don't like the consequences of snow like icy roads, traffic jam, slippery streets and freezing. I do like the crispiness and the light it brings to the landscape and it can be really beautiful as long as you are not in a car on the road or having too little on. So it's Sunday again and I, as usual, don't know where time flies. I don't remember if I told you about the operation I went through last Thursday? Anyway they did have to take a tooth, empty a big abscess and the infection was so bad that the bone structure was gone and replaced by the infected tissue. I know, not a very nice picture. I did see it afterwards :-( I think I had like 10 stiches, can you imagine that in this small place but now as I can see the total picture I see that they had to open up even further back than I thought. For a week I couldn't open my mouth properly and haven't, of course, been able to eat as usual. I can't chew on that side now either but on the other side is OK. This is how I looked 6 days afterwards. Bruised and swollen although the operation was in the upper jaw. I also bought a new car this week. Meet my new blue Citroen C1. This month we have cancer awarness month and also foundraising for children of the world. Radio- and TV-shows have a lot about this. It's contests, auctions and other things to make people open their wallets. Tomorrow H.E.A.T is doing a charity concert at the Radio house here in Stockholm. Tonight H.E.A.T will gig at Sturecompagniet which is a very "in"-place in the city center of Stockholm. They are on at 0.30AM so if you are in the neighbourhood don't hesitate but go there! I was this morning to the hospital for an MRI, which I hate!! They wanted to check out my pelvis since my last visit when I couldn't walk that is I could walk but with crutches. The MRI gives me creeps. It's like laying in a coffin not being able to move or do anything. You are strapped to the thing you lie on because you are not supposed to move an inch. I also had my arms streched out above my head which was very uncomfortable after a while. I don't mind the sound and knocking at all, it's the feeling of being trapped that gets to me. Have you done it? What do you think? Do you experience the same or is it just me being silly? I got a severe migraine after that so I had to stay home, take a pill and go to bed. I had booked hotel room at Elite Grand hotel and we got a very nice junior suite on the top floor with dual aspect windows and great views of the river, the fountin and Norrköping. Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor.
