BEG BEG BEG = H.E.A.T's new fabolous single

This is the cover to the CD. Hot, hot, H.E.A.T? Today I really got a treat. My SRM (Sweden Rock Magazine) arrived with the new single by H.E.A.T called BEG BEG BEG. And what a single! Fantastic, I just love it <3. So catchy and you feel happy and ready to party when you listen to it. On this CD was also two other new songs - Tonight and Living in a memory. Both great songs although I think the last one is the kind that grows on you and you need to listen more than once. Otherwise nothing too much happening. I went to the Employment office yesterday to have information about their website, which I have been using for a year and think I know, which we had to attend if we wanted our payment. Tomorrow H.E.A.T are having a signing session at the MC-fair at Honda city, Upplands Väsby and since I haven't seen Jonas in a couple of weeks I will go there and hopefully get this CD signed. Then I'm off to see Mom and Danniel which will be very nice. Weatherwise we are back with

Snowstorm

Snowstorm again. It has been snowing almost all day long and I'm so fed up with it. I went out with Hilma tonight and even just walking with her was like an aerobicspass at the gym ;-). It's hard walking when it's so much new snow and underneath shiny ice. Enough is enough! We have had a wonderful winter but isn't it time to start melting instead of bringing us more? And what's more is that they say the arctic cold is coming back :-( Tonight our satellite didn't work, probably because of the snow and the heavy wind, so no TV tonight :-( Hopefully we can fix it tomorrow. Nothing much otherwise. Packing our program for the Rheumatic assocation yesterday and also the invite to our annual meeting for all members. Lot of work to be done before that. Today I went to have chiropody. It's rather nice to be pampered and looked after although everything isn't painfree ;-) Off to bed now. Tomorrow I'm once again going to the lovely institution we call

Seriously

Johhny, Hasse and Anne. See the heartshaped flower in the window?   I really thought I would have written already to tell you about Friday's interview but no. Anyway I went to Kungens kurva and on the way down I became witness to a car collision with long queues but I was "lucky" and came shortly after it had happened so it only took me 10 minutes extra. Good thing I went early with good marginal. I even found my way up to the office and was given a cup of coffee since she had a phonecall to make. After a while we started and I think it went pretty well but you never know. It was a good thing my coach and I had trained on interviews because I felt secure in myself and my answers. Now the continuing process is that they will call more for interviews and after that they will select a couple of applicants that goes to interview no 2 with the company's VD. It's his assistent you will be if you get the job. The job itself sounds like the perfect mix for me with e

Job interview

Job interview at IKEA. Hopefully not me tomorrow ;-) Yes, that's right. I'm going on a job interview tomorrow. The first real one on 25 years I think. I'm really excited because it's the first job I applied for and the application deadline isn't until January 31. I went to see my coach yesterday and that was really really good since she coached me a lot about the interview. Kind of a roleplay. Very useful I think, since she has worked with recruiting people for many years. I will of course keep you updated in this. I do have several job applications out there so hopefully there will be a job for me :-) I have had a kind of busy week and that's why I haven't written for a couple of days. It's a hard job being out of work. My day starts around 7.30AM when I go up and have breakfast (I do treat me with sleeping that late because when I work I usually go up at 5.30) After breakfast straight to the computer - logg on to the Employment office and see i

Monday - Saturday ?!

Norrtälje in wintertime. Beautiful isn't it? I wrote on Monday and now it's Saturday! What happened in between? This work to be out of work is really exhausting because I really try to find a job and that takes time and effort. On Tuesday I was supposed to go to my medical central and take bloodtest before I see my Dr next week but instead I stayed at home writing applications for 2 jobs and also placed my CV on several recruiting companies. That took almost all Tuesday. On Wednesday I went to my friend Anne in Norrtälje and we had a delic chantarellesoup, lots of chat, I had some wonderful treatment, zone therapy and that always relaxes me to the extent that I almost always falls asleep or if not asleep very very close. After that we went shopping at Flygfyren which is one of the best stores I know. It was a bit hard driving because it was very icy on Wednesday. The weather has changed and it's no longer that extreme cold we have had and when it changes it has a

Officially listed at the Employment office

Well, there haven't been much to write about this weekend. We have taken things easy and just kind of existed. It's hard to take all in and today I had to go down to the Employment office in order to get money from my A-kassa. But how much will I get? That's the question. I am so worried because I know it will be a few thousand less after taxes and that is a lot less. I still have the same bills to pay so I don't know how we will cope. I'm afraid we won't. I still hope for a new job soon but it's easier said than done. I have talked to friends and asked them to keep ears and eyes open on their job to see if there are any job opportunities there. I have applied for 3 jobs so I have to wait and see. Not exactly what I want but at this stage I'm willing to take almost anything. What's more to say. I'm going to see my friend Anne in Norrtälje on Wednesday which is something I'm looking forward to. To have that gorgeous chantarelle soup, cha

Sad Friday :-(

This is really a sad day for me. Today my boss told me that I had to quit my job :-( Not because I wasn't good or doing my job but we couldn't get the students we needed to continue the business. So he's closing down and I'm out of work starting today. For the first time in my life I'm out of work and I don't like it a bit!!!! I have already wrote to the Employment office but I have to go there in person next week with all my references and certificates of education and employments. If I don't I won't get any money. But on this unemployment money you get I won't survive, I'm sure. It's at least 20% lower than I have today if not more but I still have the same bills to pay so I do need a job sooner than later. Anyone in need of an efficient economyassistent/administrator/book-keeper/secretary/anything in an office on 50%. I can't work more since I have my Mr Sjögren standing by me every day of my life and he's not one that I want to h

Trettondag jul - Epiphany

Danniel, Helen, Antonio, Bianca, Franjo, Hasse and Mom at lunchtable Hasse, Franjo and Mom (and Hilma of course) Antonio, Pinglan (their dog), Helen and Bianca in the kitchen I haven't written for a few days. I don't know why but I worked Monday and Tuesday and the days and evenings just flew away. We have also had very very cold weather here in Sweden so all our strenght goes to keeping warm :-) We had to take out clothes from the storage that we haven't used for many, many years, but they came handy now. Yesterday we had - 20C (that is - 4 F) and in some parts not far from here they had - 40 F (that is the same in Celcius - 40) Can you believe that? On top of that it has snowed a lot and now we have probably about 60 cm or something like that. Even as I write it's snowing very nice and softly and the temp. is - 17C (1,4 F). Even to go out with Hilma for her walk you have to dress like the Michelinman :-) Hilma, strangely enough loves this weather. She like a puppy aga

Linner

Mandy, Jonas, Hasse and Sofie Tired after dinner? Hasse and Sofie Yes, today we had "linner" (like I told you yesterday = lunch/dinner) with Jonas, his girlfriend Mandy and her Mom Sofie. Always so nice to meet them but it's far too seldom. Today I made a smoke-cured loin of pork/chicken fillet gratin that also included paprikas, mushroms, leek, sambal oelek, chili, cream and more. Very yummie if I may say so myself :-) I served potatoes and a green salad with it. For starters a favourite once again - asparagus soup with broschetta. And for dessert chocolatemousse with whipped cream. Very good all of it but the sad thing is that you get so tired after eating. We did eat for about 3 hours though so we took it slow and easy. I really like this photo of me and Inger on New Year's Eve. Thanks Tracy Now I'm preparing for tomorrow, it's back to work. I'm very curious to see if there are any more applications for the course that starts January 25 which is kind of

Namesday

Aren't the scarves the same? Today is the second day of this new year 2010 and it's actually my namesday, Svea. I was named after my maternal grandmother who I never met since she died when my Mom was only 7 years old. My grandmother had a heartcondition which in those days couldn't be operated so at only 32 years she died. If it had been today she would have lived a full and long life. Anyway when I was little I was so ashamed of that name because it wasn't "in" or "hip" so I never told anyone my full name. It was bad enough to be christened Marie-Christine. I mean noone ever could remember that name. I was called Ann-Kristin, Marie-Louise, Loppan, Kristina and lots more. So eventually I started calling myself Mia and so did all my friends. When it was possible I took the name Mia officially so today my complete name is Mia Svea Marie-Christine. Something I'm very proud of today. It's not many people that has these names. And I'm proud t

Happy New Year 2010

We had a very quiet and traditional New Year celebration with our good friends and their kids (our adopted grandchildren). They arrived at 6PM and we had a welcome drink, of course Champagne which was good. Then we had asparagus soup with broschetta and main course was fillet of beef gratin with mushrooms, whinesauce, västerbottencheese and mashed potatoes (everything homemade of course) Til that I served mixed sallat. For dessert I had made my famous cheesecake which tastes like vanilla icecream. After coffee time was almost 11.40 and we had to prepare for the stroke of 12. Glasses had to be carrid upstairs, champagne had to be opened and everyone had to dress warm. It was around -8C and we always stands on our balcony where we have the most gorgeous view over Upplands Väsby and all the way in to Stockholm. This year it was a bit snowy so not that good view but quite enough. We never have any fireworks ourselves. There are plenty to see since we have 180 degree vision. I don't kno
