HOT HOT H.E.A.T

Do you remember I told you about the cooking kind of competition we have at work? Each of us cook for the others on Mondays and after a round everyone votes. We score from 0-10 points. This round I won :-) Did I tell you what I did? I called it a "Little crayfishparty" because all of the ingredients for a crayfishparty was there without having to peal the crayfishes yourself. It was pie with Västerbotten cheese and potatoe, which we have to go with the crayfishes. Then crayfishtails and shrimps and lots of dill. Then a wonderful salat made of salat, of course, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, fetacheese, lemon and corn. Very good if I may say so myself. After that I had baked a kind of cookie with a crisp top.   It looked a bit like this but not quite because I didn't do individual pies and I also had a lot of salat but you get the idea. Tomorrow we are going to Värmdö to a party held by my predecessor. That should be nice :-)

Have you ever had a sore Achilles' heel? Then you know what I'm going through :-( I have had an inflammation since early December!! Despite steroidshots it's not well (it got better for a while) and last night was the worst so far. It hurt however I sat, laid or had my foot high. Even in bed it hurt so much I couldn't sleep. You know how it is when you slumber and when you turn the pain wakes you up. That's how it was last night. I can't even flex the foot and that is bad because I can't drive. It's the foot I speedcontrol with. I have contacted my doctor and have an appointment for 11.50 AM. Hasse will drive me :-) I'm even home from work today!! But I have to get well to Friday because then we, my work, are all invited to a party out on Värmdö by the sea. It's the woman I replaced who have invited us all and I really really want to go. Yes, I will actually be going to Nottingham with my sister and I'm very excited about it. I have booked a flight from Arlanda to Heathrow and then train to Nottingham from London St Pancras Intl. I have to book a taxishuttle from Heathrow to St Pancras though but that I will do when it gets closer. The hotel where everyone is staying was of course full already so I booked at Hilton. Then I went to Tripadvisor and when I saw the photos and read the stories from that hotel I cancelled my reservation. Dirty, mould on windows and bathroom, bad views and not at all Hiltonstandard. So I booked at Crowne Plaza instead and hopefully it will be allright. It's closer to the venue and closer to the hotel where the others stay. Yes, tomorrow my summervacation is over and I'm back to work. I'm actually looking forward to it and hopefully I will remember something of what I did before the leave. I mean I have only done the monthly once on my own :-) This autumn I will try not to get so involved with the Rheumatic association. I have noticed that I'm feeling much better now that I haven't been forced to deal with a lot of things since June I do feel more relaxed and content. I can't understand why people are so negative and why they won't help. I mean an association is their members not the board but it's only us, it feels like, that is organizing and fixing things for people to meet or to socialize but it's almost always only us that shows up. I'm rather fed up with that. I will make a last effort but if nothing change I'm afraid I don't have the strength to carry on. It's enough being sick myself but also having husband, son and Mother sick doesn't make it...

This gig July 27 was the last one with the original H.E.A.T members. Kenny has, like I've written before, taken the decision to leave the band. So this was his farewell and what a night it was!! One of the best concerts ever and very emotional. The version of Cry was simply outstanding and when they as last tune did Separate ways I promise you that there wasn't many dry eyes in the audience. A big, big crowd had gathered and it was a both sad and happy night. Kenny sang as he haven't sang for a long time. I think it's not only me that have stopped writing or writes very seldom now. It's summer and time flies and you do other things but sitting in front of a computer. We have been on holiday in Scania and Denmark and returned Sunday evening which was nice. But what wasn't nice is that I yesterday discovered we have a wasp-invasion in our frontgarden and I'm allergic to the monsters :-(( Which means I have to spend almost all my time inside the house when we are home. I hate wasps!!! What good do they do? Nothing I think. So despite this heatwave, still, we're having I have to be in the house. I have booked a trip to Åbo on Sunday so we will go in an Executive suite with big balcony and hopefully the weather will stay nice and the wasps won't be on the Baltic Sea. We have had a wonderful week in Scania, a trip we have tried to go on for 20 years but never went on until now. We stayed 3 nights in Helsingborg, rented a car and went on trips alongside the Scania ...

Yes, it's actually a real heatwave that we have had now for a couple of weeks with temp. around 30C! We are not used to this and we actually, if we are lucky, have this kind of weather like one week a year. It's said to stay at least this coming week as well. I have a very hard time coping cause I don't like it this hot. My favourite temp. is around 20C up to max 25C. We don't have aircondition at home nor at my work so it's very very hot. We stay indoors the warmest hour of the day and try to be outside when it's cooling down at night. I really haven't written for a while and I think that is because of our long light days. We are still having midnightsun in the north and our evenings even here in Stockholm are long and light. When I go to bed at 10.30-11PM it's still completely light although the sun just set at that time. And it gets up again around 4AM. So I don't sit around the computer as much as in wintertime and that's why I haven...
