Back to work

Yes, tomorrow my summervacation is over and I'm back to work. I'm actually looking forward to it and hopefully I will remember something of what I did before the leave. I mean I have only done the monthly once on my own :-)

This autumn I will try not to get so involved with the Rheumatic association. I have noticed that I'm feeling much better now that I haven't been forced to deal with a lot of things since June I do feel more relaxed and content.
I can't understand why people are so negative and why they won't help. I mean an association is their members not the board but it's only us, it feels like, that is organizing and fixing things for people to meet or to socialize but it's almost always only us that shows up. I'm rather fed up with that. I will make a last effort but if nothing change I'm afraid I don't have the strength to carry on. It's enough being sick myself but also having husband, son and Mother sick doesn't make it easier. Enough said about that and stop to the moaning!

There haven't been any new singer to H.E.A.T yet and I don't know when it will be. I mean it's very important that he sings as well as Kenny and preferably better.
I do so much want to go to the Firefest in Nottingham but I'm waiting for my sister to say if she can go or if she can't anyone else who can. The tickets are almost sold out and it's hard to get a hotelroom and it will be harder as we get closer to the event. Also going there is kind of hard. Either you go to London and take the train to Nottingham or you go via Brussels to East Midlands airport and then to Nottingham. It looks like it could be cheaper going via London so I have to see.
The reason to why I want to go is first that H.E.A.T is headlining on Friday and with their new singer (hopefully) but also on Sunday when Jona's will be playing with Jimi Jamisson, singer from among others Survivor (Eye of a tiger) and also Jimmy Jay will join on bass. It's really something extra to be asked to play with him and I so want to see that.

JIMI JAMISON FEELS THE HEAT!

JIMI JAMISON has finally found a backing band. Well, no, actually Jimi has a queue of musicians just waiting to get up there on stage with him. That’s good news for fans as he has put together a GREAT band featuring TOMMY DENANDER (Radioactive) on guitar, JIMMY JAY (HEAT) bass, JONA TEE (HEAT) keyboards and MAGNUS ULFSTEDT drums (Talisman, Mitch Malloy) and maybe even another special guest or two just for the hell of it! Once again this is JIMI’s first solo performance in the UK so it is definitely one not to be missed. Oh, and the set list ...wow! No, make that WOW!!!!

I hope you all have a nice Sunday evening and I'll talk to you later :-)

Oh my God

The Christmas smorgasbord I just realized I haven't written anything since November 23! But I can tell you I haven't been lazy but there has been so much going on that I haven't had the strength to write. I had meetings that week and I was supposed to be at a conference hotel for lunch that Friday but I was to tired I had to cancel it. So instead I baked safron buns (!) and made chocolate troufles with ginger.  The ferry On December 1 it was Staffan's birthday (Hasse's oldest son) and I worked and worked at my job. Thursday I and Hasse were supposed to go to the theatre and see Come again Charlie, which was one of my birthday presents - thank you Pär and Brita. But Hasse wasn't feeling well so instead I asked Linnea, my bonus grand daughter if she wanted to go and she was very happy that I asked. We had a really good time and the play, which was a comedy, was funny but also with a message which made you laugh and then stop. It was about the si...

Anyone??

I wonder if anyone can see and read my blogg? I haven't had any comments in so long that's why I ask. Erik didn't win a Grammy last night but he had a blast and he and his fiancé looked just great! Another Swede, Ludwig Göransson, won 3 prices though. Congrats to him.

Sad day

Tonight Olle, my adoptive father that has been like my father almost all my life, died just before 9PM. It was very quick. I talked to the nurse at 6PM and everything was calm then. Just a bit over 2 hours later she called and said he's gotten worse. I asked how and she said his skin changed colour and that he could have 10 minutes or 10 hours left. I was just trying to get to my sister on the phone and ask her if we should go down when the phone rang again just 15 minutes afterwards and it was the nurse telling me that it was over. He went very peacefully and in his sleep. At the end he was given a lot of morphine so he wouldn't be in pain, which he wasn't. I called my sister but we both felt that we already had said our goodbyes and therefore didn't go down to say a last goodbye. He is probably up there somewhere looking down and sensing our feelings. We haven't been able to reach our mother yet and we probably won't tonight so I will tell her when I go there ...
