Already Sunday

Time goes so fast and now yet another week has gone by. I had a meeting on Wednesday at my former work where all of us who don't have a new job yet met. Most of us have a year salary without no obligation to work (since our work is no longer) but we have to attend these meetings in order to get paid. It's to show that we are available and ready to work. Anyway out of 250 people that lost their jobs January 1 only 26 has new jobs 4 months later! And they say that's a good number? I think it shows how the situation is right now. Saturday I finally come around and got my hair cut and dyed, long overdue. So now I'm ready for spring :-) Today I have been to visit my Mom and Dad and I went shopping for them before, as I usually do, because Dad wants beer to drink at dinner and also he loves nuts. Mom always want candy so I always buy it to her. Mom wasn't that well today, neither was Dad. Mom fell out of her bed two days ago in the middle of the night and couldn't com

Happy Birthday Marvin

It's Marvin's birthday today and I hope he got what I sent :-) I wish you all the best on your day and hope you will have a wonderful day. I have been kind of sad for a couple of days and I really don't know why and it isn't like me at all. I always try to see the positive side of everything but suddenly I didn't feel that. I shouldn't be feeling like this because for the first time in a very long time I (and Hasse of course) got to spend some time with Jonas last week. We went to Gavle to celebrate his birthday which we did by going to Church street, an American restaurant in Sweden and I mean really American. The following day it was time for Rockweekend where H.E.A.T performed. They were great and I had fun although I couldn't hear very well after the concert since I forgot my earplugs. I stood closest to the stage which was the first time I ever did that. In the afternoon we had planned to celebrate Jonas on his actual birthday and Lena had made strawber

In Gävle

We are in Gävle celebrating Jona together with the family. The reason we choose to go to Gävle is that the Rockweekend on tour is playing here tomorrow and of course H.E.A.T is in that tour. Since our grown childen lives in Gävle as well as our 6 grandchildren we decided to go there. So tonight we went to the American restaurant - Church street - which is great. So very American. Big portions of food, peanuts on the table and candles in Jack Daniels bottles. To top it off the restaurant congratulated him with song and a wonderful ice cream cake type. Jonas was very surprised. As birthday gift from his older siblings he got a lesson in safety driving on slippery roads. Very popular but we don't know when he will do that since he doesn't take any lessons or even drive. He hasn't seen the need for it. Now we are all home at S and L's house and some are watching TV, some are doing homework and others are blogging :-). Tomorrow I will go and see P a in the afternoon we will

Just an ordinary Tuesday

Well, back on track again after Easter. Yesterday we went to S (Jonas girlfriend's mother) for dinner. Jonas and M was of course there too. We had a wonderful meal, even got easter eggs, and a delicious cake for dessert which M had made. They have a wonderful flat, but so far away from us, in the south of Stockholm, and I really really liked the interiour. After dinner and in perfect time for coffee came M's sister J and her man J and daughter M. We have been friends on Facebook for very long but never met so it was so nice to finally meet her irl :-) We had to cancel the jubileeparty on Saturday for the Rheumatic association. There were not enough interest. 22 had said they would come when the time was up and of those 22 I think 14 was us in the board. So I decided together with the board that we couldn't go through with it with so few members. That suddenly left me without anything to do on Saturday so I'm going to Rockweekend in Vilundahallen instead :-) But first we

Happy Easter

Today it's Easter evening and a wonderful weather it is. Sunshine, 18C and much warmer in the sun. People walking around in shorts, linen or dresses. People coming out of hibernation and suddenly there are a lot of people in your neighbourhood doing gardening, sitting in the sunshine drinking coffee or wine. This is so nice. But, there is a but, for us that are allergic, like me, H and even Hilma our dog (allergic to grass - can you imagine that and being a dog?). Our eyes is itching and running, Hilma is scratching which is not good and we are having trouble breathing sometimes. I have started to take powerwalks with sticks in the mornings and I have noticed it's very hard to breathe. Well, it can also be that I'm not as fit as I should be ;-). But always when I start doing these things I get sick :-( Like now I have a sore throat and fever and I can't powerwalk then. Is my body telling me something do you think? Maybe I'm not supposed to walk ? I hope this cold b

It's H's birthday today

But it's a small family home now who can celebrate him. Just me and Hilma (our dog). I managed to sleep in of course and didn't wake up until 8.30AM by which time H of course had been up for hours. I did make him some coffee and used the traditional birthday cup and he got a lot of presents from me. A shirt, a nice tennis-shirt, a whole lot of underwears (which was actually the only thing he had wished for). I think he was happy with that. In the afternoon we went to our grandchild (the one who adopted us as grandparents) who also has his birthday today. So we had coffe, cake and smallcakes and cinammon buns. T got a big legotruck and underwear from us and H got a big whisky, a 12 year-old Caol ila and he was very happy about that. When we returned home there was this big bouqet of tulips hanging on the door and also a box of chocolate. It was from our children and grandchildren in Gavle. They had also called him earlier in the day. E of course wished him happy birthday. J is s

What a wonderful day

It has been a wonderful day with sunshine on a clearblue sky and temp in the sunshine around 20C. How can you be anything else but happy about that? Otherwise a calm day and really nothing to do, just relax. We did do Melodikrysset which we do every Saturday morning and have been doing that for at least 7 years. After that K and T came. They were out driving the Studebaker cab and had a pitstop here for coffee which was very nice. Tonight I'm going to watch Babben & Co on TV. I really like that show and next week my favourites are going to be on. Who they are? Well H.E.A.T of course but also Peter Stormare :-) I hope tomorrow will bring as good weather as today. See you :-)

April fools day

It's already April. What happened? How come time flies so fast these days? Is it because I'm getting older or maybe because you do so many things that it seems like it's flying? I manage to stay out of being a fool on April fools day which is an achievment because many tried :-) Yesterday my Mom turned 85! Can you believe that? I went there today with D and we celebrated her in big style wi th a big flower boquet, presents but we spared her from our singing. We had a little cakeparty with the other guests at the home and the staff. Coffee and great cakes, one with rasberries and whipped cream, the other one "Princess cake" which is with a lid of green marcipan. The photos is from the coffeparty. Mom is looking good I think for 85. O in the background and he's also looking good going on 77. This weekend will be rather quiet, nothing planned so just relax and maybe go for a walk in the sunshine. They have promised us good weather this weekend with temp. around 1
