Already Sunday

Time goes so fast and now yet another week has gone by.

I had a meeting on Wednesday at my former work where all of us who don't have a new job yet met. Most of us have a year salary without no obligation to work (since our work is no longer) but we have to attend these meetings in order to get paid. It's to show that we are available and ready to work. Anyway out of 250 people that lost their jobs January 1 only 26 has new jobs 4 months later! And they say that's a good number? I think it shows how the situation is right now.

Saturday I finally come around and got my hair cut and dyed, long overdue. So now I'm ready for spring :-)

Today I have been to visit my Mom and Dad and I went shopping for them before, as I usually do, because Dad wants beer to drink at dinner and also he loves nuts. Mom always want candy so I always buy it to her.
Mom wasn't that well today, neither was Dad. Mom fell out of her bed two days ago in the middle of the night and couldn't come up nor could she call for help so she lied there until the staff came in the morning. I think she was chocked because she was still very shaky. I talked to a nurse and she will go to the doctor this week and she wants me to come as well which I will of course.
Dad felt sick and didn't want to eat. I stayed for 4 hours and they never wanted me to go but I think they felt a bit better. We had such an interesting and oh so necessary talk about funerals and how they wanted theirs.
We usually don't talk about that like we are to live forever but it's not fair to your loved ones when you're gone and you haven't told them anything how you want your funeral. I know they say you're not there but can you be sure? I for one have already written down how I want it to be.

Enough of that now. Tomorrow I'm going to see my friend Anne in Norrtälje for some treatment and our usual lunch at One glass and of course Chantarelle soup.

By the way I have lost 9 pounds since I started my GI-diet and I'm quite happy with that. I just hope it will continue. I need to be extremely strict and don't eat too many carbo hydrates but I need to eat more fat.

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday :-)

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
