London, Phantom of the Opera and more......

Tomorrow morning, very early, I'm off to London. I have to leave my house at 4.50AM to go to Märsta and pick up two of my co-workers. The plane leaves at 7AM but we are to meet at 5.45 to be sure to get through security, taxfree, passport and get to the gate where we are supposed to be 20 minutes before, not later. When we arrive in London we have a full day ahead. We start with checking in at the hotel and then lunch before going to Soanes architecture museum where we will spend the afternoon. In the evening we will dine at one of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants which we are looking forward to. Saturday we are going on an architecture walk called Olympic London where we will have a practising architect showing us all the Olympic arenas that are being built or already finished. For those who want there are an exhibition called Don't move, Improve at NLA(New London architecture) and later we are having Afternoon tea at an awardwinning place. Then at night we are to see Pet...

H.E.A.T 10.000 likes on Facebook!

How about this then? Well they are the best (according to me, a totally objective mother ;-) ) This weekend I had a great experience. As I have told you before I won a VIP-weekend with tickets to finale of the National Qualification for Eurovision song contest in the Globe. But not only that! It also included staying over night at Clarion hotel Stockholm from which you can see the Globe, also dinner with surprises. Well the surprise started already when we arrived to the dinner. We were greated like moviestars and photographed. Also we were filmed during the whole evening and interviewed on camera. The conferencier, and singer, was Jacob Samuel singer of the Poodles (H.E.A.T has played and also been on tour with them) Also entertaining was the twins Rongedahl. They have also been in the finale in the Globe a couple of years ago. Great musicians.   My beautiful sister Helen who joined me for the event   Me, happy as can be   The film crew that filmed us throughout the ...

March already?!

Dirty Dancing was just wonderful. Did I tell you? I loved it as I of course love the movie. The week after, last week, I of course caught a cold. Our flu and colds are very late here in Sweden this year. Normally we are getting out of it by now but this year it has just started!! I hate this. It started out rather nice with fever and when that went I thought nice, now it's over. That wasn't too bad. What have I said in the past? Never even think the thought because it will, always, haunt you back. And of course it did. I missed out on the Opera last Saturday. My friend also had a cold and me too. So I decided to be a good girl and take it easy so I would be fit and healthy for this weekend. On Monday we had a board meeting with the Rheumatic association and luckily it wasn't that late but when I woke up on Tuesday my eyes were sore, especially the right one and very watery. Also I my sinus was clogged (too much information?) and it got worse. I did work but tried to s...

Dirty Dancing

I just came home from the musical Dirty Dancing that is on here in Stockholm. Me and my friend Inger went and we had "the time of our lives" I love the movie and I have probably seen it more than what is good for you ;-) The production here in Stockholm I just loved! Great cast, great scenography and last but not at all least incredible dancers. And although I've seen the movie so many times I still get moved to tears especially when Johnny says his famous line: Nobody puts Baby in the corner. And then their final dance. Love, love, love it! What more has happened since last. Well I won a competition :-) And the price is a Melodifestival-weekend (that is our National Eurovision Song Contest qualifier) which includes dinner, tickets to the final in the Globe and a night at hotel. So me and my sister, H, who had already planned a sister-weekend, had to change plans. Not that we were sorry, we love Melodifestivalen and this will be the third time we are in place fo...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

I wish all of my family and friends a Happy Valentine's Day and much love and tenderness. I just realized I haven't written for 10 days and I have no idea where time went or a little I do have ;-) I spent Thursday with my friend Anne in Norrtälje with treatment, lunch, chat and laughs. I have missed it since I haven't been able to go there for over a month. Then on Saturday we were invited to our good friends K and J for dinner. It was far too long since we saw them due to them being ill when we first decided to meet. We had a wonderful evening with a lot of good food, chatting, discussions and memories. After that we, on the way home, went to a place called Rosersberg where Jimmy from H.E.A.T playes trobadour. Half of H.E.A.T including parents, siblings and friends were there so we had a great time chatting, singing and more. We didn't come home until 0.30AM which is very rare for us.   Hasse and Matz   Me and Vonne having a good laugh   The Blue Laguna with w...

London baby

This week so far has been good. I'm feeling so much better this week and hopefully the thing I had is gone :-) I have planned and booked quite a few things for when I go to London in March with my work. I do the planning and booking of this konference/study trip. We will do a lot of interesting stuff and of course, since you know our favorite thing to do, we are also going to eat at some amazing restaurants. I can't reveal it all here because some of them read this and everything isn't in the open yet. We are going to see "Olympic London" that is we will walk and get exclusive viewing of all they are building for the Olympic this summer. We will be guided by a practicing architect so very interesting for "my" architects but also for the constructing engineers. We will be eating one evening at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant which is rather close to our hotel. I had the confirmation just now tonight. It is very booked so you have to be out in time. ...
