London baby

This week so far has been good. I'm feeling so much better this week and hopefully the thing I had is gone :-)

I have planned and booked quite a few things for when I go to London in March with my work. I do the planning and booking of this konference/study trip. We will do a lot of interesting stuff and of course, since you know our favorite thing to do, we are also going to eat at some amazing restaurants. I can't reveal it all here because some of them read this and everything isn't in the open yet.

We are going to see "Olympic London" that is we will walk and get exclusive viewing of all they are building for the Olympic this summer. We will be guided by a practicing architect so very interesting for "my" architects but also for the constructing engineers.

We will be eating one evening at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant which is rather close to our hotel. I had the confirmation just now tonight. It is very booked so you have to be out in time.

You will hear more about it as we get closer.

Tomorrow I'm off to a conference, at my former work Rosersberg, with the Rheumatic association. It's our first meeting there with the District of Stockholm so it will be nice to hear what they think. I'm sure Anna and Lasse will take good care of us :-)

That's it for now folks. I will try to take some photos to place here. Have a great weekend and take care, especially you living in Sweden.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
