Monday January 31

Last day of the month. Where did January go? Last time I really wrote here was January 10 and since I haven't seemed to have the time. There has been a lot of work of course especially since we closed for 10 days during the holidays and it takes some time to catch up.I have also started the work with the annual closing of the books. I can say I'm almost ready already :-) I have also been on a planning conference with the Rheumatic association which was hard work but gave a lot. We went to my old work at Rosersberg. Very nice to meet some of my old co-workers. Everything was very smooth and they had renovated the hotelsroom so they now were very nice and what wonderful beds! Food was great as well. But just one hour before leaving for the conference I ate a sandwich and there was something hard - my tooth!! The last teeth on the upper side. It felt like a big crater and it was certainly not nice when I had to talk for 2 days. Of course I called my dentist-sister at once and...

Back to work

Today was first day at work this year. It felt really good to get started again and of course it was Monday so I knew I had a good lunch to look forward to. Yes, we are cooking for each other this year too and hopefully it will result in yet another cook-book. The one from 2010 made a huge success!! We gave it to our customers and we also got 3 copies each and I gave two of mine as Christmas present. Today S had cooked for us a delicious fish-dish with plaice on a spinachbed and baked in oven with a cheesesauce. She had also made this wonderful sallat with marinated zucchini, beans and red onion. Just the thing one wants after all the food you have eaten during Christmas and New Year-holiday. This week is filled with job and basically the whole month. Now there are no more "red" days (holidays) before I take off for LA. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone again :-)

Be sure to look at this!

http://www.bycelina.se A friend of mine has started her own webshop where she sells bracelets, earrings, rings and more. All designed and made by her. Take a look! I think they are really special.

A New Year and still snowing

Our New Year's Eve was so nice. Good food, good friends, good wines and champagne and lots of laughter and fun. Just as it should be. But when we were getting ready to go out on the balcony to watch all the fireworks it snowed so much you hardly could see anything. Also rather windy so we decided to sit in the snugroom instead watching the few we saw from the warmth inside. Just as nice and much cosier. Photos from New Year's Eve. From top champagne in the snugroom when they came. Happy Mia and Krister in hats. Inger kissing Hasse still happy in hats. The dessert - chocolatefondant with raspberries and whipped cream. New Year's Day we slept a bit longer and we just had a lazy day watching films, sleeping a bit and eating. Very nice except that at night when I was out walking Hilma she suddenly pulled hard and made me fall on the street. Normally I wouldn't have but the street was so full of snow which made it very hard to keep balance. They hadn't cleared the...

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!

Only a few hours left of 2010. What happened this year? Time to look back and ponder. January: I was really out of work for the first time in my life and had to report to the employment office. Not fun.I did have some fun though. Dinners with good friends and family and a wonderful brunch at Långbro Inn with friends as well as a performance by H.E.A.T at Honda Center here in Väsby. February: Meeting with my workcoach, applying for several jobs, visiting my friend in Norrtälje, again dinners with family and friends. Danniel, Bianca and Klaras birthdays celebrated of course. Annual meeting with Rheumatic association. March: I went on an education at Bommersvik in Sormland to become leader for circles. I continued to apply for jobs. I celebrated a friend that turned 80. We had wafles on wafleday at our friends house. April: Mom turned 86 and we, my sis Helen and I,  treated her to lunch at a wonderful restaurant by the lake Malaren. Lots of birthdays in April including my hubb...

Christmas is over

My Mom, Hasse and Emil . We had a really good Christmas Eve with my family. Very traditional in a Swedish way. Everyone came at 1PM and then we ate Christmas lunch/dinner. Everything that is good we had on our table. Ham of course, different kind of herring, egghalves with shrimp"röra", omelett with mushromstew, löjrom, Christmas-sausage, potatoes, beetsallat, meatballs, chipolata sausage, ham-temptation, bread and different kind of cheeses. After that you are totally full I can tell you. So shortly after it's the longest tradition in Swedish Televison - Donald Duck says Merry Christmas. This program is 1 hour long and during that there are candys - homemade fudge, chocolate, fruit and more. While everyone is watching TV I prepare coffee with homemade safronbuns, homemade cookies of different kind and a soft gingerbreadcake that Danniel makes every year. So after Donald Duck is finished Santa comes (in the shape of me) and we get our gifts. Around 5 or 6 PM we ...
