A New Year and still snowing

Our New Year's Eve was so nice. Good food, good friends, good wines and champagne and lots of laughter and fun. Just as it should be. But when we were getting ready to go out on the balcony to watch all the fireworks it snowed so much you hardly could see anything. Also rather windy so we decided to sit in the snugroom instead watching the few we saw from the warmth inside. Just as nice and much cosier.

Photos from New Year's Eve. From top champagne in the snugroom when they came. Happy Mia and Krister in hats. Inger kissing Hasse still happy in hats. The dessert - chocolatefondant with raspberries and whipped cream.

New Year's Day we slept a bit longer and we just had a lazy day watching films, sleeping a bit and eating. Very nice except that at night when I was out walking Hilma she suddenly pulled hard and made me fall on the street. Normally I wouldn't have but the street was so full of snow which made it very hard to keep balance.
They hadn't cleared the street then (they didn't do that until next day). Luckily I didn't break anything but I have bruises and I hurt my arm and leg. Must have looked funny though.

I was out today and took some photos to show you. The first one is from our front garden and the last is an icetap which is at our frontdoor. Do you want to be here? I don't love too hot weather and if it's going to be winter it's better it looks like this anyway rather than having the black ice weather. That I hate. But I hope we won't have this as long as we had last winter.

Take care everyone out there and if you're on the road here in Sweden - drive carefully!!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...

That is we invite the H.E.A.T family including the guys, girlfriends, parents, siblings and other friends ;-) This year they could actually be here almost all of them. Last year, if you remember, they were recording their record and couldn't attend. Some of the guys from H.E.AT with girlfriends Then only one and his family that couldn't come today was Erik G and his family but that is because he turns 25 tomorrow and they were having a family celebration for him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance Erik Me, Hasse, Dave, Annie, Bernt and Brita  The first guests arrived at 1PM and the last ones left at 4.15PM but it was never crowded because people came and left at different times. At one time all 30 were in place and it was crowded but oh so nice. Lot of chatting, drinking glögg which were everything from 0% alcohol til much more..... Also I had coffee, "snittar...
