  Me and Hasse Today we had a nice time first visiting Mom at the home for elderly. It was me, Hasse and Jonas. Emil was home with a bad cold. We brought candy, which was good because she was out of it, cinnamon buns, magazines and a present, a very cute little teapot and cup. She was very happy for that. She actually spoke very good today and I understood most of it. Danniel and Jonas Afterwards we went to Danniel invited by him to have birthday dinner. One week late but better late than never.We had a delicious starter - toast with shrimphotchpotch and avocado. Great since we were really hungry. Main course was a wonderfully marinated porkfillet with potatoegratin and sallad. Everything tasted excellent. For dessert we had bought a chocalatecake which was very good but very filling. We chatted a lot and Jonas told us about the gig they had last night in Norrtälje which was great.   A totally wonderful photo of springflowers by Sonja Cygnel I tried to write yesterday but something was wrong with my Blogger and I couldn't write anything so now I try again. Monday evening we had the annual meeting with the Rheumatic assocation. We had 42 people announcing that they would come but only 27 showed up. We all believe it's due to the weathersituation we have right now here. Specially on Monday the commute situation was chaos, totally chaos. No subways, no trains, people stood in line for hours waiting for buses and when there finally came a bus people got crazy. Imagine one bus and hundreds of people waiting in - 20C for hours. You get the panic, anger and all feelings between. So if some people didn't show up I completely understand.     Ritva who was our guest chairman But we that did show up had a good time. We had Lars-Åke playing the accordion, then we had long open sandwich and beer (lightbeer of course) and water. Then the meeting and afterwar...

I just want to share some photos with you. I took them today when we actually have sunshine and it's a glorious cold sunny day. This morning it was -23C and that is cold. Our street after the plow had been here   If you look closely you can see Hilma but this is our mailbox being burried  The funny thing is that though you would have thought we are used to this weather, transportations doesn't work when it gets this cold. Today people were encouraged to stay home and work there instead of travel to work.  The photo shows people in line waiting for buses because the subway couldn't function above ground because of the cold. And now they are telling us that more snow is on the way!! What is this? I think we have had more than enough this winter. Don't you? Now I want to see melting snow, dripping from the roofs, birds singing and more sunshine. Tonight we have our annual meeting for members with the Rheumatic assocation. That should be nice. Yes, I'm sick :-( and I don't like that at all! The trouble with me is because of my disease I'm more lightly to get sinusitis or pnemunia than an ordinary cold so I'm always very careful around people that are having a cold. But you can't always be. I started feeling bad yesterday morning already but hoped it just was something that would be over by today. I had planned a visit to my coach in Norrtälje and also to have lunch with my friend Anne. I had to cancel both, sadly enough. But the fun thing was that before I called my coach called and she was also having a cold and since she know I'm a bit sensitive she wanted me to know. So today wasn't meant to be. By the way, the job I went for an interview on. I didn't get it :-(. I had a mail yesterday so I mailed back asking why I didn't get it.  Danniel Yesterday was the 35th birthday of my firstborn son.  What does that make me? Old? Think I have a son that is 35 and I don't feel older than 40 something ;-). Anyway he had his birthdaygift already a couple of weeks ago since it was a ticket to the Sweden Rock cruise and the releaseparty for H.E.A.T's new album. Me, Helen and Mom went together with joined forces and bought it for him and he was very happy about it. In the afternoon we had an extra meeting at the Rheumatic assocation because of our annual meeting for members and also because we had to decide what should be in our next informationpaper. Good meeting but long. Today it's my niece Bianca's birthday and she turns 14. I don't know where time flies. She's growing and is like a little lady now. Yesterday I had a wonderful, funny and musical experience at the Royal Opera. I was there to see "Die Fledermaus" or the Batman, in English, by Johann Strauss d.y. I didn't know what to expect but certainly not this! The first act was quite like an ordinary opera but some beautiful melodies and what was exeptional was that on stage was this huge screen that covered the whole stage and when the director started you could see the orchestra on that screen so a little like when you watch the New Year's concert from Vienna.  Rather effectful if you ask me. Then when the second act started Jan Malmsjö had the role as the Prince Orlovsky and we were at his party at hotel Carlton. A performance by two balletdancers were totally astonishing. They were so very soft but did all this almost acrobatic dancing. Great!!! After that Helge Skoog presented himself as the prisonguard Frosh. He was in the salon making his way to the pulpet where the conductor normally stands. Then it...

Nothing much has happened this week except for Wednesday when I saw my administrative official at the Employment office. It was the first time we met and I had asked for this meeting. We weren't suppose to meet until the end of April but I thought that was far too long to go. She was very nice and I told her about my qualifications and my special situation having retirement 50% due to my diseases that prevent me from working full time. I think I have told you before that if I work my 50% I'm OK and my diseases are kept in place, lol, but if I work more than that I get worse. After we had spoken for about 30 minutes she said: Why don't you work with us? At the Employment office!? I don't have the qualifications nor the university degree you need. She said I had all the necessary qualifications with my personality, my very broad work experience since I have worked in so many different fields and also the fact that I am mature and in this case my diseases could even ...

Yesterday me and Emil went to see my Mom. On the way there we stopped at Maxi to buy some buns and candy for her. She always wants us to give her something when we come. She's like a child in that respect. After shopping we went to Danniel to have lunch and after that we all went to see Mom. She was so happy to see us although I'm not sure she know exactly who each of us were. She thought Emil was playing in H.E.A.T and I don't know who she thought Danniel was. We talked about old times. She likes that. And then we talked about Nice where she and Olle spent many vacations and suddenly she was speaking French! Luckily I do speak French too. We spent over 2 hours chatting, drinking coffee, eating buns and I think we all had a good time. This was last week. I took a photo of Emil and Mom. Yesterday I had a long overdue appointment with my hairdresser. So now I'm all made up to go on job interviews and other things. I will show you a before and after pic and don't say I'm not brave. I mean sitting at the beauty salon with all that stuff in your hair. I can tell you,  you don't look beautiful at all but rather scary ;-) How about it? Then I had a rather nice afternoon with writing on the anual chairman's report for the Rheumatic assocation. And in the evening Let's Dance that equals Dancing with the stars. My vote goes to Jonathan and Molly since I know Jonathan's Mom and also they are very good. They are the youngest couple ever. Molly is only 17 and I think Jonathan is only 23 or will be later this year. Today is the first part of the tryouts for the Swedish Eurovision song contest and I am as always going to watch it but this year it's not that interesting as last year when H.E.A.T was competing. A new week is here all empty, hihihi, not. But first the weekend. On Saturday I planned to go a see H.E.A.T at Honda city where they were to sign CD:s (the old one) as it was  MC-fair . But suddenly the phone rang while I was still in my morninggown and it was Jonas asking me if I could drive them. And of course as the nice person I am ;-) I said yes. I only had to put on some makeup. So off I went to Jonas. Then I had to wait for him, then for Eric and then for Dave (as usual). We arrived and there were already a lot of people waiting for them. H.E.A.T at the signing stage. Lasse introducing them Jimmy came a bit later with loudspeakers and PA so that they could play their music (new) and it was great. I promised to take them home as well so I stayed for over 2 hours and then Jonas came and said they were given a lift by a friend of them. So instead I went home.
