HOT HOT H.E.A.T

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.  

Our yard with snow, photo by me It seems like everyone we know is going somewhere to a warmer climate. Well, I can't blame them. We have had rather chilly weather with snow the last week. Wednesday Gunilla and her Per took off to Jamaica, Montego Bay for 14 days. She will celebrate her 50th birthday there (but the party will be in June) Then yesterday my niece went to Australia for a year. She will live and work there and she has a friend who will also do the same. It's better when they are two, a bit safer. Tomorrow Jonas and Mandy fly to Fort Lauderdale for 3 nights, then they fly to Tulum in Mexico for 14 days and then back to Florida before they come home again. Another grandchild graduates now in January and takes her Master of Engineering after 5 1/2 years of studies at Uppsala university. After that she and her boyfriend takes off to Sri Lanka for vacation before starting working. And I also have relatives in Thailand. But I stick to this cold and snow. W...

A New year has begun but before that we had Christmas. Fireworks from our balcony. Hard to get good photos and a sense of how many there were New Year's dinner - main course I started my holiday on December 22 so I had a chance to fix all the things you need to do before you can celebrate. Like shopping for everything you need to prepare the food like the most important - the ham. Then to make the meatballs, the spareribs, the ham, the Christmas porridge and everything else you need. Ready for Christmas Eve Father and sons with some glogg On Christmas Eve we were just the boys and us. Mandy worked and then she was at her sisters house. We had a very nice time together and very traditionally. Helen and her family had gone on a cruise from Barcelona to Maroc and the Canary islands so they weren't here. Since many does a recap of 2015 - here's mine. One of this year's many highlights, Matilda, me and Peter after their summer concert January : Dinner with my sister's family on the 2nd,  Dinner with our friends on the 9th.  Gunilla's birthday the 15th  The Rheumatic association work started the 15th as well.  February: 3 birthdays this month: Klara, our grandchild 5th Danniel turned 40 (!) 15th and Bianca 19 16th She and Klara are the same age.   Went to my friend Anne in Norrtalje 5th Visited Malin, Alexander, Tuva, Henrik and Amanda in Norrköping where the guys played hockey 20-21th Had dinner with my work 24th.  Went to annual meeting and sat as secretary with my local rheumatic association 26th March: Malin turned 24 on the 2nd.  Dinner at Wenngarn castle on the 4th.  Went to Norrtalje the 5th  Theatre Bristol for lunchtheatre on the 6th. I just wanted to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016! I hope all your dreams and expectations will come true this year. I wish for you all a good health and a happy year to come. Personally I want to get rid of this cold that makes me sneeze all the time. Take care :-)

  Just popped in here to wish you all a very   MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016! As you might have seen I haven't written since November but sometimes life makes you make other priorities and this autumn there have been just that. Hopefully next year will be better and I might even get some time over to reflect and write down things here. Until then I wish you all the best of holidays.

but I am more or less going into hibernation this time of the year  I did have a board meeting last week with the Rheumatic association and I did go to the Hamburger Börs to watch the show Alcazar. That was my birthday gift from my sister Helen. My beautiful sister Helen This was the day after the horrible events in Paris. I didn't really felt like going to a show, having fun, dancing after that but then I thought why should they (terrorists) detstroy everything. That is just what they want. They want us to be scared and frightened to go out to restaurants, clubs, shows etc so if we stay inside afraid we do exactly what they want us to do.
