October is almost over and we are officially on winter time

Yes, you read it right. We turned our clocks back 1 hour Saturday night so now it's wintertime which means it's a bit lighter in the morning but darker much faster in the afternoon.   In the music bar on board the train. Anders playing In a way I love this time of year. You can cuddle up in the sofa with a nice blanket, light candles, read a good book or watch TV without feeling guilty that you're not out.  Also the air is fresh and crisp which I love, no mosquitos or wasps, perfect!!                         Can you see who is behind me on the orange poster at Scandinavium? Three of the artists, Peter, Helen and Norm I haven't written since September 26 and that has a lot of reasons. One is that I have had so much to do another that I haven't been feeling well so I took the decision not to write for a while but rest from the blog. During this month I h...

Dizzy

Not full yet but almost                                   A week where nothing much has happened except for Tuesday night when I suddenly became dizzy and nauseus. It was really scary. I couldn't walk properly so I went to bed very early at 7PM and when I lay down the bed spun like a carousel. You know the feeling when you have been drinking a lot and you close your eyes and the whole world spins and you are dizzy. Since I almost never drink alcohol it wasn't that causing the dizziness.  Funny shaped clouds Jonas came back from Tokyo yesterday and I will hear more about that tomorrow :-) Emil has finished his first period of internship at a home for elderly that needs medical c...

September post

Windy and grey  Last I wrote it was August and summer. Now we have September and it's autumn! Well, the temperatures are some day quite decent but others, huuh, it really feels cold. We have had a lot of rain as well but I like this. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are shifting in different colors from green, to yellow, read and more. It's beautiful. The air is fresh and easy to breathe. What have I been up to then since last?  Well,  a whole lot.  Hasse and I went on a luxury cruise (still one of my 60th birthday gifts) with extra all. Fantastic suite cabin, VIP treatment all the way which meant going onboard before everyone else, having a VIP lounge etc. So nice. The trip was very calm and by that I mean the sea. Me and the board members by the dinner table at Torpa Inn I went to my sis to have my teeth checked, and yes she is a dentist Then we celebrated Mandy on August 29. I went to see my doctor to have a certificate so ...

August post no 3 :-)

And then it was work but only for 3 days. I then went to my friend Suzanne who does my hair. I always like it when I leave because she's so good in what she's doing. Also we have a lot of fun everytime. I don't get any champagne or wine (Jo) but we do "fika" which is a very Swedish thing to do. We drink coffee with some buns or cakes or something and we chat and we laugh. Last week also the Rheumatic association started again for the autumn-season. We are going to have a conference September 4 and 5 so we had a lot of planning to do. Next day foot care at the podiatrist. Very nice and so needed :-) On Sunday I "borrowed" Mandy (Jonas sambo) and we went on an archipelago cruise. Do you see a pattern here? This time to Moja which is as far out you can come before open sea. We didn't go ashore. The weather was fantastic and we had lunch onboard and then we sat out on deck. So wonderful. And Mandy even saw a seal! The head of a seal...
The summer continues with music and festivals :-) Erik Gronwall Lägg till bildtext Yesterday it was time for Hadirajafestival which is the festival Erik Gronwall has arranged together with 2 others. He performed as the last act of the evening together with Jona on guitar. Here's a link to their performance Erik and Jona with Higher I also found a new group which I really liked. It's a group called Sir REG and they are from Ireland. It's like being at a pub in Ireland and you really can't sit still with this kind of music, at least not me. Sir REG at Hadirajafestival   The day before this I had my mother-son day with Jonas. Since the weather has been just wonderful the last week I booked us on a cruise in the archipelago. This time to Sandhamn via a very narrow canal that you only can go through with this ship we went on. What a day! Sunshine all day long, the best company, good food and drink and I even got to go into the water. Not bathing though b...
