WOW AND DOUBLE WOW!!

What a day and what a night yesterday! The venue after we had decorated (green and white are Rheumatic association colors) I couldn't have asked for more. They day started at 10.30 at Tre Rosor in Rosersberg where we, after checking in and having lunch, started packing goodiebags. What was in them? I can now tell you: There were shower gel and body lotion 250 ml each, two cruise vouchers, tootbrush and toothpaste, chocolate and an underlayer. Everyone was very happy and surprised when we handed them out :-) The goodiebags after being packed We had wonderful artists, H.E.A.T who played rock so all the ladies went up dancing. Being in pain as we is all the time music is one thing that makes you feel better, but of course today we could hardly walk and are in so much pain but it's worth it.     H.E.A.T on stage We also had two gorgeous cousins - Peter Johansson and Matilda Hansson - entertaining us. Peter is a friend and I asked him a long time ago if they cou...

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY

It's time for the big jubileedinner which I and two friends have planned for a year now. I have worked so hard the last weeks to get everything done and hopefully we will have a great time. We have set the scene now it's up to the guests to make it happen. What I hate is when people write a mail saying I'm sorry I can't come?!! What is that? No real reason to why just that they won't come. They have no idea how much trouble that will cause. Not only to change all the lists, trying to get people to replace those places because since it's so close we will have to pay for all places. If you are in hospital or as someone had a death in the family that is of course obvious reasons but just say I won't come that makes me so angry! Another thing is that people don't seem to understand the meaning of RSVP or as we say in Swedish O.S.A and as you that means: Repondez s'il vous plait, Answer please. It doesn't mean you don't answer especially ...

LAST CHANCE TONIGHT

Tonight, Swedish time 23.59 PM, is the last time to vote for H.E.A.T to win the Rock Bear. Take the chance, they are so worth it but is up against hard competition and more well-known bands. VOTE 23.59PM is in American west coast time 2.59 PM if you want to help out. I have voted every day more than once and I know that some have voted very much because of the great price you can win - an exclusive gig with H.E.A.T. Tomorrow I'm having, I think, the last meeting before the big jubilee dinner. Now some people have come back and said they can't come :-( They have known and planned for so long so why say no with no explanation!! That is so bad and rude. Since we are so close we have to pay for them anyway. One couldn't come because of a death in the family and that of course we understand. Or if you get ill but to just have a change of heart is not OK. That's my opinion anyway. I really have to go to bed now. I have been awake since 3.30AM and it's now 10....

H.E.A.T and Rockbjörnen (The Rocking bear)

There is still time to vote and now H.E.A.T has thrown in yet another spice to it: Do you want to spend a night with H.E.A.T and one of your best friends, get free H.E.A.T CD's and Tshirts, have a few beers and watch a private H.E.A.T gig in Stockholm? This is how you do it: Vote for H.E.A.T at rockbjörnen.se everyday (click the "We need you" profile picture for info) and everyday post a reply comment that it's done on our "We need you" profile picture. We will randomly choose 3 winners who can bring one friend each.   So now there is no excuse not to vote. You remember how you do it? VOTE!    Now to other things. Tomorrow me and my sister Helen is going to Elite Marina Tower to stay until Sunday evening. They have recently opened a SPA at the hotel. Actually they haven't opened officially but we have booked two treatments each. Looking forward to that and to spend some time with her. It's far too seldom we meet although we live in ...

VOTE FOR H.E.A.T

There are still time to vote for H.E.A.T (until August 22). See link: VOTE FOR H.E.A.T For my English speaking friends and family it's a bit hard, maybe,to understand the Swedish so here's an explanation how to go about it: Fill in "H.E.A.T" down to the right (where it says: Årets hårdrock/metal) För-&Efternamn = Firstname & Last name. Epostadress = Email address Mobiltelefon = Phone number (you don't have to give this) Ålder = Age Kvinna/ Man = Female/ Male Kontrollfråga = Security Question "What is 5 + 5?" (different numbers all the time but math is international, right?) I do hope you vote because they are so worth it and this is the next biggest music price in Sweden (only the Grammis are bigger). But in some eyes this is even bigger because it's us the ordinary people that vote and not some jury. The announcement will be made at Gröna Lund, the amusement park in Stockholm, on August 29. So I will, and many with me, ke...

H.E.A.T nominated for Best Hardrock to Rockbjörnen

Yes, H.E.A.T is one of 5 groups nominated which is a great honor but now we need to vote so they win as well. Rockbjörnen (The Rock bear) is a big prize here in Sweden and it's founded by the biggest evening paper here. You can vote here: VOTE H.E.A.T What more? Well, I worked last week with enormous pains but managed until Wednesday (I'm off work Thursdays and Fridays) but that evening pain struck more than ever. I have no idea what's wrong. I had so much pain in my right groin and it was so painful I could hardly walk. Not to mention sleep. It was almost impossible even to lie down. I once had bloodpoisoning in my foot and this felt the same in the groin like that time. The only thing I could see was my damn achilles tendon that looked inflamed. On Friday it was worst than ever and I had a meeting with the jubilee committe. They both had cruches and I borrowed one while they were here and it felt much better :-) I started eating anti inflammatory medicin (which I ...

Back to normal again :-)

Sunset at sea First day at work after a wonderful vacation. The centrum of the ship at Captain's welcoming party We returned home on Saturday after our gorgeous cruise around the Baltic Sea where we got to visit Helsinki, St Petersburg, Riga, Gdynia, Sopot, Gdansk and Visby before returning to Stockholm. The Winterpalace in St Petersburg, Russia  Gorgeous house in Riga, Latvia   Dinner in the sky (I just wonder how they do if they need to go to the restroom)   Submarine outside of Gdynia, Poland   Lech Walenskas house, former president of Poland Me and Hasse on the tender boat to Visby I love the Vision of the Seas, one of the smaller ships in RCCL's fleet. We had, just like last time, a junior suite with a big balcony. Compared to other ships this balcony is huge and was in frequent use by us, both mornings and nights. Breakfast on the balcony I love the sound of the waves at night when going to sleep and the ...
