Saturday, H.E.A.T, Mary Key

H.E.A.T at the beer- and whisky fair at Nacka strand Not much happened this week. Rather quiet except that I got a cold on Wednesday. It started with a sore throat, then runny nose and now coughing. I have tried to be a "good girl" doing what you're supposed to do and hopefully I will be better tomorrow. Because tomorrow I'm hosting a Mary Key make-up party and I'm really looking forward to that. The consultant is a co-worker of mine and another co-worker is also coming as a guest. Then a neighbor and a very good friend. So we will be 4 in total and I'm sure we will have a great time making us up :-) I posted a photo of H.E.A.T as well, at least 4/6th of them (Jimmy and Dave is missing) , having a good time at the beer- and whisky fair here in Stockholm. Of course Jack Daniels, what else? Hope you all are having a good weekend :-)

Hotellweekend in Stockholm

The view when we approach the hotel by boat (If you click on the photos they open up in bigger size) It's October 2 today and I'm just home after spending a wonderful weekend in Stockholm at our favorite hotel, Elite Marina Tower . This was my birthday gift from Hasse <3 and it was really thoughtful. I also got, last year, a gift card from my sister Helen which I used now. It was for a day at the National Museum including champagne with canapés at our arrival. Then viewing of the museum and after that a 2-course lunch with wine and coffee. We had the most wonderful reception when we came. A reserved table in the Atrium restaurant layed with champagne glasses and napkins.   Me in the grand entrance hall of National museum with Carl Larsson's painting Gustav Vasa's entrance into Stockholm in the background Hasse watching the old masters The restaurant manager, Karin, came and told us about our day. We really felt VIP the whole day. When we returned after the viewi...

Spamalot and very hot

On Saturday my celebration continued with going to the theatre with my sister Helen and her kids Bianca and Toni. We saw Spamalot which is a musical built from Monthy Pythons film Monty Python and the holy Grail. It's so funny and has great songs. I did see it in Malmö last autumn but this time it was a different cast and the leading lady is played by a friend Nina Söderquist. She played the role in London after winning a TV-competition here in Sweden where the price was to get the role as Lady of the Lake. When I was in Malmö she was on maternity leave and it was another one playing that role. Very good but not the same as Nina. She did a marvellous job and I can't imagine anyone else now doing that role. Afterwards we met up with her to chat for a while before the next show - yes, they do two on Saturdays. Bianca, Nina, me and Toni As you can see from the photo she's still with make-up. I had bought champagne in a nice package with a card and also made a big photo o...

One year older but not feeling it :-)

So has yet another birthday gone by and I don't feel any different. I'm now 57 and I'm glad I am. I don't understand people who doesn't want to celebrate that they have achieved one more year of this short time we have on earth. I love celebrate every day and I say Carpe Diem. This is me totally without any make-up at all . Not too bad :-) I really had a great day with lots of people gratulating me especially on Facebook where over 100 of my friends sent messages. Thank you all. I love you <3. The day before I made two different cakes which I brought with me to work. They seemed to like them both :-) Because it was my birthday and I didn't want to bake anymore I brought the rests back home for dessert. The cakes Jonas, Mandy and Danniel came for dinner and we had a great time. Emil couldn't come because he was abroad on holiday.  When I got home from work I started cooking and made a new dish with tenderloin of pork which I served with ...

Test pilot

Well, today I applied to be testpilot for a new healthier fish from Findus, coated with less egg and breadcrumbs. Since I usually not eat readymade fish like this I'm really interested in tasting this new thing and see if I like this more. It has before been more breadcrumbs than fish so this new product is said to have more fish. I hope I will be choosen for this. If you're interested you can read about it on this link: FINDUS TEST Otherwise it has been an ordinary Monday with work and a delicious lunch. In two weeks it's my turn again so I have to start thinking of what to cook :-) It's the last time this year so much depends on it. Do you have any suggestions? Have a good evening and talk to you soon :-)

9/11 10 years after

Today is a day for rememberance. Even though I'm not American it seems to me like the attack on 9/11 was an attack of the world. Nothing has really been the same since. Just look at all the extra precautions that followed especially when you're flying somewhere. I remember coming home from work around 3PM and as usually I turned on the TV. There was an extra broadcast on SVT saying that a plane had crashed into WTC twin tower. I switched to CNN for live coverage and I saw the devestation and realized that this must be a bit more than a small plane. I didn't even think that thought ready before I see the second plane crasch into the other tower and I just gasped. What is happening I thought. Then I heard the reporter saying that yet another plane had crashed into Pentagon and there were talk about more planes. I wondered if the whole world had gone mad. What is happening? Are they attacking more countries? I just sat there in front of the TV wanting to see more of what w...

H.E.A.T news ?

This is an article I found on a website today. Is it true? I don't think they will enter but you never know. http://poplight.zitiz.se/artikel/heat-i-melodifestivalen-2012#comment-13469 Sorry it's in Swedish but it says that H.E.A.T have been asked if they wants to enter in the Swedish Eurovision contest 2012. Apparantly there is a composer that has written an AOR-song especially for them. The same who wrote the Swedish entry this year that ended 3rd place in Eurovision song contest. Well greater miracles has happened before ;-)
