It's July and H.E.A.T-wave here in Sweden :-)

Yes, it's actually a real heatwave that we have had now for a couple of weeks with temp. around 30C! We are not used to this and we actually, if we are lucky, have this kind of weather like one week a year. It's said to stay at least this coming week as well. I have a very hard time coping cause I don't like it this hot. My favourite temp. is around 20C up to max 25C. We don't have aircondition at home nor at my work so it's very very hot. We stay indoors the warmest hour of the day and try to be outside when it's cooling down at night. I really haven't written for a while and I think that is because of our long light days. We are still having midnightsun in the north and our evenings even here in Stockholm are long and light. When I go to bed at 10.30-11PM it's still completely light although the sun just set at that time. And it gets up again around 4AM. So I don't sit around the computer as much as in wintertime and that's why I haven...

H.E.A.T news

As some of you may already have heard or read H.E.A.T's leadsinger Kenny is leaving the band. He has had some healthissues and lives in England and wants to persue that life. There is no hard feelings and they split as friends and brothers. Their pressrelease: As you can read below we have some very sad news to announce. More info on auditions and who will sing at the scheduled gigs will come very soon. Love and Respect H.E.A.T "Shift of the lead vocals in H.E.A.T We have the sad duty to inform you that H.E.A.T and Kenny Leckremo will go separate ways. The decision is taken in harmony by all the six members of H.E.A.T and we part as friends and brothers. Kenny has been the lead singer since the band formed in 2007. To our opinion, he is one of Swedens most gifted rock singers and same time a talented and creative song writer. But recent years, Kenny has been attracted to another life in England. It is partly for strictly personal reasons - reasons...

This week

This week consisted of lot of work since I learnt the invoicing procedure this week and that was a lot to take in. Architects work in projects and each project can have lots of underprojects and you need to get that right before invoicing. I think I did rather well but I have to wait and see until tomorrow when my boss have checked them out. Unfortunately Rose, who I'm replacing, got ill this week so she was home on Wednesday but I still did a lot of work. Among it was to write down the routines which I had written down my hand as Rose told and showed me. Now I organized them and placed them in a file. Feels good to have somewhere to go if I forget :-) What more? Well, on Tuesday me and Hasse celebrated our Silver anniversary. I can't believe 25 years have passed already. This is us 25 years ago. Danniel was page and in Hasse's arms is Jonas who was baptised at the same time. How young, slim  and beautiful we were. Now we're only beautiful :-) 25 years later :-) ...

Swedish National Day June 6

I know I have been bad writing my blog but you have to excuse me since my new job takes a lot of my time (of course). So much to learn and I really want to do the most of it while Rose is still there. It's such a blessing to have an experienced, both in routines and economics at this firm to help me get into things as quick as possible. But it hasn't happened that much since I wrote last time ;-) Or maybe it has? I went to the hairdresser and dyed my hair darker. I have also been to Norrtälje to my friend for lunch and treatments which was high time and I felt so much better afterwards. Swedish flag, a wonderful sight this day At the hembygsgård Mandy graduating Then on Friday Jonas girlfriend Amanda graduated so we, Jonas and me went to her reception and I met all her relatives for the first time (or most of them). Today it's Sweden's National Day and I went to our local celebration here in Upplands Väsby and you can't guess who was the 2009 Honorary Väsb...

First week completed

5 year-celebration at work My first week at my new job is completed. It has been a great and tiring week :-) I started on Tuesday and left home at 8.05 AM and arrived 9 AM that is 55 minutes to go. So after talking to my neighbour I left the following morning at 7AM and arrived at work 7.17 AM. So from that day I will start early and miss the traffic, not that I miss it :-). Our cook who grilled to perfection  Anyway day 1 I just got to know the others and everyone is very nice and quite young. We eat at work all together between 11-12 at least those who are in. So now I bring my own food. It's much cheaper than buying. One funny thing is that each Monday one of us cooks for the others and then score the dishes. That's nice and I think a good way to get new ideas. God knows one need that from time to time. Me and Rose, who I'm replacing, went shopping for the party we had yesterday. It was to be a playful party since the firm celebrated 5 years. So we bought beachtenn...
