Swedish National Day June 6

I know I have been bad writing my blog but you have to excuse me since my new job takes a lot of my time (of course). So much to learn and I really want to do the most of it while Rose is still there. It's such a blessing to have an experienced, both in routines and economics at this firm to help me get into things as quick as possible.

But it hasn't happened that much since I wrote last time ;-) Or maybe it has? I went to the hairdresser and dyed my hair darker. I have also been to Norrtälje to my friend for lunch and treatments which was high time and I felt so much better afterwards.

Swedish flag, a wonderful sight this day
Mandy graduating
Then on Friday Jonas girlfriend Amanda graduated so we, Jonas and me went to her reception and I met all her relatives for the first time (or most of them).

Today it's Sweden's National Day and I went to our local celebration here in Upplands Väsby and you can't guess who was the 2009 Honorary Väsbyresidents? Hard one, hey ;-)
H.E.A.T!! And this is really a great honour. It's almost like getting the key to the town from the mayor (to compare with USA)
H.E.A.T played in Copenhagen, Denmark last night and had no chance to get to the festivities in time so
their driver Kent was there to receive the award on their behalf. Of course I was there too :-) And the chief of Information of our municipality spotted me and wanted me on stage as well so I went up.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
