Toilet trouble

Yesterday when I got home from work Hasse met me in the door telling me we didn't have a WC downstairs. It had broken! No water and we couldn't flush. And you can't have that. It's like having a outhouse inside your house, not very nice.

So I tried calling plumbers last night but of course they had finished for the day. I contacted firms that have WC:s and that offers installation but the earliest they could help us was after 2 weeks. Can't be without it that long.

So this morning I started calling plumbers again and after 7 calls (who didn't have time until next week) I found one not far from us that actually had a great offer. The WC (on the photo) with complete installation for 5 500 SEK (617 USD) and they will come TOMORROW! I'm happy.

Can you believe how important it is with a WC. You just take it for granted when it works.
We do have another toilet upstairs but when I have as much pain as I have right now it's hard to go upstairs and I can't do that 10 days a day or how frequent you go.

And on Sunday it's Valentine's Day. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's and I wish I could be with all my loved ones but it's impossible.

Take care and be nice to each other

Recap of the week

This week meant a lot to do and I'm afraid I haven't taken the time to write here :-( But here's a recap of what has happened. Monday and Tuesday not very much but I was so, so tired and my joints does not like this weather at all. I have so much pain especially in my hands and fingers which makes it hard even to write here.  On Wednesday I went to Norrtälje to my good friend Anne for some treatment, which was very much needed, lots of chat and also a very good lunch. It's always a pleasure to see her and we have so much to talk about all the time. A true friend who I'm so grateful of having. Next day it was time for work and after that directly to the working committe in the Rheumatic association. Afterwards also meeting in the foundation, where we grant money to people who have applied, and fulfill the rules of the statues. When driving home again at night, it's so dark now and I hate driving in the dark, there was an accident with a big truck a...

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance Erik Me, Hasse, Dave, Annie, Bernt and Brita  The first guests arrived at 1PM and the last ones left at 4.15PM but it was never crowded because people came and left at different times.
