Springtime :-)

Do you remember the photos I put here two days ago? Well this is how it looks today!

And we have +10C at 10 AM, which is right now.

I just wanted to show you how quick things change here. From snow storm to spring weather in 2 days. I do hope this weather will stay now but you never know. It's very usual for us to have snow on April 30 which is the day we light fires here in Sweden and celebrate spring. In my lifetime I have even experienced the joy (?) of having snow on Midsummer's Eve! Yes, it's true, one day we bathed in the sea, the next day it was snowing.

Otherwise I have been a good girl, staying home taking care of my cold. It is better but it's not completely gone. I went to the grocery store yesterday and when I got home I was completely exhausted. So maybe it will take some time to regain strength after this but I still have 2 1/2 weeks before I go.

Wow, 2 1/2 weeks! It's not long now and I'm really looking forward to meeting all again. It has been too long - 3 years since I last visited.

Not much more to say today. Taking it easy this weekend because next week will be crazy ;-)

Take care and I hope you all have a great weekend.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
