Saturday and GOLD for Sweden

Today Sweden took our first Gold in skiing and the one who cemented the win was the wonderful Kalla. It was her third medal in these games. She has two silver and now the GOLD. Great job!
Danniel around 1 year old, with grandma and the last photo is with my uncle Lars-Erik, my cousin Kicki, my aunt Gertie and my grandpa's housekeeper Ester.

Another Gold but for me was 39 years ago when I gave birth to my first baby boy at 06.51AM - Danniel. Now he's not a baby anymore. I can't believe he will be 40 next year. But on the other hand I can't believe I will be 60 this year!
Where did time go? But when you think about it so much has happened during these years.

The day Danniel was born used to be the day when everyone had to leave the yearly tax return and luckily that year I had done that. Now it's very different and there are several tax return dates depending on if you are a person or have a business.

I'm very proud of him and he has since last year lost over 88 pounds! Great work.

What else? Oh yes, yesterday I met my good friend who is my opera friend. We have been going to the Royal Opera together now for over 7 years! That is incredible and we still have so much joy from it. Yesterday we started the evening by eating dinner at Bagdad Café situated in the Mediterranean museum very close to the Royal Opera house. It was very tasty and a wonderful envirement that I can truly recommend. I had a spinach and fetacheese pie with sallat.

After that we went to see the opera Salome by Strauss. A completely sold out house watched and listened to a frightful story about Salome who in the end gets John the Baptist head but then she's killed too. A complete thriller but beautifully sung and the dresses were gorgeous.

Today is, as it has been this year almost every day, grey weather with sometimes snow, sometimes rain and even hail.
Tonight is also fullmoon and I have been feeling that all week.

I have trouble sleeping, my heart raises and I feel strange. Usually all this will go away now within a day or two. Strange but true.

On Wednesday we have a board meeting and on Thursday I will be secretary on the annual meeting with the Rheumatic assocation in my hometown. And then next Sunday we will all be going to Danniel for birthday dinner :-)

I hope you all have a good weekend and week. Take care!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
