New week again!

Time flies, doesn't it? It has already been a week, and what a week. Will it never stop being so busy? I'm so looking forward to go to LA. I know I can relax there, sit on the porch and watch the hummingbirds (I hope) :-)
The hummingbird feeder but I'm not sure there is a bird there. Maybe on the backside

The past week was full, as usual ;-), of work, board meeting, annual meeting, writing protocol but also birthday dinner.

It has been so much work lately with the annual meeting for the Rheumatic association closing in. We have to write the annual report for our members which includes all activities last year, the economy status, the business plan for this year with budget and I'm rather much involved in them all.
Our house troubador Chris "Keno"

At work it has settled down to the ordinary now that the final accounts for last year is closed which feels great! I'm so happy that all went well.

Thursday I was secretary at my local Rheumatic association and it was lovely to see everyone again. I don't have time to attend their board meetings. That would be too much for me. I have to think of my health first. But it was very nice and we had Chris "Keno" Holm, our house troubador sing for us before and after the meeting. And we did singalong as well. Music and singing really makes you feel good. We ought to do that more often.
Starter: Skagenrora on a toast with avocado, yummie
Main course: Potatoes dauphinoise, tenderloin and sallat, yumm-yummy
Danniel and Emil (Danniel is looking at Jonas)
Dessert: Strawberry cake
All three brothers in one photo is rare but warms a mother's heart.

Then yesterday we went to Danniel to celebrate his birthday and it was so nice to see all three brothers together. It's not often we can gather the whole family.
Danniel had made delicious food and while he and I prepared the food the other ones saw Sweden take a silver medal in the Olympic icehockey.

Speaking of the Olympics. I think Sweden did great. We took a whole bunch of medals and especially considering we are such a small country I think it's good.
But of course we do have the advantage of snow, cold weather and Vasaloppet :-). Vasaloppet which takes place this Sunday :-)

Have a great week everyone and take care!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
