Mother and son day with my oldest one

Me outside the pension with the view down to the bay

Today me and Danniel had a day on our own which was very nice.
It was a beautiful day and we first drove down to Södertälje and visited this wonderful old pension built in 1860 and situated so beautiful by a seabay.

When you got in it was like taking a step back to the 19th century and I loved it! It was fully modern though and all rooms had en-suite.
One of the rooms, every room has its own look.

After visiting the pension we continued on that road until it ended and there was this beautiful little inn also by the bay. On the opposite side from the inn there was this wonderful little seaside beach.

We decided to have lunch at the inn and we sat on the veranda overlooking the sea and all the boats coming in and out. I had a wonderful halibut (although a bit too well-done for my taste) Danniel had a beef that was delicious. Children portion since he's not allowed to eat more than that after the operation.
Garden café at Sturehof's castle, not the best view I'm afraid. It was much more pretty than this.

We then continued and this time we drove to Sturehof's castle which is in Norsborg. A pretty little castle that has this wonderful garden café. So this was were we had our afternoon coffee break. The castle itself dates back to the 17th century and it's believed to be even older. The first owner died in 1567 so that is when the castle must have been finished.

After all this we headed back and I dropped Danniel off at his apartment and I returned home again after a wonderful and sunny day.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
