Rock of ages, New York and more

Saturday we went to see Rock of Ages here in Stockholm. Me, Hasse, Emil, my sis Helen and her family all went and we really had a great time. I really enjoyed the musical and anyone who loves the 80s and the rock music will love it.

In the evening, yes we went on the matinee, it was the final of the Swedish Eurovision which I watched on TV this year. Last year me and Helen was at the finals in person thanks to me winning a contest :-) Here are links to the VIP event:

What is more? Well, just that we are going to New York in August. That is me, Helen and her daughter Bianca. We will stay for 5 days and will go shopping, see musicals and more :-) and work.

On Thursday I'm going to dinner with my work. We are going to a Swiss restaurant and most of us will have beef fondue, yummie.

Then on Saturday we are invited to dinner at our very good friends in Märsta.
And on Sunday I'm off to Malmö where I will attend an education for two days. But I'm travelling down on Sunday which will give me a chance to see my Mom's cousin.

And I almost forgot ;- ) H.E.A.T will play at Katalin in Uppsala and the concert will also be recorded and sent on Swedish National radio P4 live. Of course I will be there, did you think otherwise?

H.E.A.T at Katalin

That's about it apart from me having pain again :-( but that's another story.
Take care out there. Talk to you soon :-)

  1. Are you going to NY for work? or just a vacation? cool!

  2. A little bit of both :-) Me, Helen and Bianca are going but since it's Helen's dental firm that pays I'm going to have a bit of education with them regarding economy during the stay.

I wouldn't have the money to do it otherwise :-( So New York in August it is. I hope we will have the opportunity to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway since one of my favorite Swedish singers are doing the role of the Phantom then. He's actually the first Swedish singer performing in a musical on Broadway. He did the role in London last year, saw him there with my work if you remember.
I think that will be my 50th birthday gift for Helen. Yes, she turns 50 just days before we go :-)

    Take care. Love you!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
