I just came home from a conference with my local Rheumatic society. We stayed at a hotel in Nynäshamn, Nynäsgården, which was awful.
I had been there before so I knew what I was in for but the others didn't. I tried the first room - the bed hard like a brick. I went to the reception and got 3 more keys to 3 different rooms. 2 of them with the same brick matrass the third was OK. The receptionist said she didn't know what rooms had newer beds (which is strange) but admitted that the other beds were from the 80's! I mean over 30 years old beds in a hotel. Imagine the rest....
You can't see it properly but this was really nasty. Broken and not clean
Mold in the shower
Very old TV and you couldn't see much on it so I'm lucky I had my Ipad with me.
Break in attempt on the door
The conference was great and we came to great deciscions but the hotel wasn't.I had been there before so I knew what I was in for but the others didn't.
To top it all I had mold in the bathroom which smelled awful. Lucky I wasn't there that much. And maybe worse there were signs of break-in attempt on the door. The elevator
was scary and you never knew if it was going to work. When we took the connecting
way under the house because of icy terrace the elevator was broken so we had to
climb (yes very steep stairs) stairs to get to the dining room.
The chairs
in the dining room are so bad I can't describe them. But what happens is that
you are totally numb after sitting for a while, not to mention a
3-course meal. Instead of being a nice time together you try to eat as fast as
possible to get off the chairs.
The
elevator wasn't safe enough to go in, although repaired, so we got a conference
room on the ground floor the next day.
This place
used to be a home for elderly which you can tell from many of the rooms.I would
never go here if I had to pay myself.
It could be such a good hotel because the setting is great
The conservatory where we had the conference day 2
Thursday I had a meeting at Rosersberg where we also had lunch. That was very nice and we planned the coming Christmas cafe which we are going to have on November 29.
Memory from the Rheumatic association in the dining room at Tre Rosor
Tomorrow it's Father's Day here and Emil and Danniel is coming over for dinner. Jonas is on tour with H.E.A.T and at present in Gothenburg. Next Friday though they are in Stockholm and of course I will be there! Did you think I wouldn't?
Helen, me, and 9 more are going out for dinner before the gig. I'm really looking forward to this.
Now I'm just chilling and soon will be watch TV for a while. At present I watch X-Factor US on the computer.
Take care and have a great weekend.
That hotel doesn't sound at all like Sweden! Not a VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.
