VACATION

View from our friends paradise in Dalarna

Since I'm on vacation at the moment and moving around a lot it's hard to keep up with blogging.
Me and Pär our friend and also father to one in H.E.A.T
Hasse and Brita (Pär's wife and accordingly mother to a member of H.E.AT

Since last I and Hasse have been visiting good friends in Söderbärke, Dalarna and after that we went to "our hotel" for a 3-day stay which was very nice.

As usual lots of cruising ships in Stockholm this time of the year.
Then I took off to Malmö to visit my Mom's cousin who is 84 and very vital. We always have so much fun togheter and this time I cooked for her which I promised I would do.
 My Mom's cousin, Kerstin

I made cold avocado soup with shrimps to start with. Then a cod with wine sauce and dillboiled potatoes and salat. For dessert I made a very good dish which was lemon curd/mascarpone cheese/nat. yoghurt that I wisked together and topped with strawberries, rasperries and chocolate. It all went down nicely with a good Chablis.

Now I'm home for a couple of days but tomorrow I will go in to work to see if there are any letters that need attending to.

Thursday is hair-do day and then on Saturday we are off on our cruise around the Baltic sea with Royal Caribbean cruise lines - Vision of the sea.

I'll write again when I can. Until then - Take care!

What about H.E.A.T then you might ask yourselves? Well, they are on the road a lot and doing a great job. From Arjeplog in the very north of Sweden to Trollhättan, Borlänge, Sweden Rock and more.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
