Yesterday Upplands Väsby, my hometown, had arranged a festival to celebrate their first 60 years. It was supposed to be outside a peoples feast with sunshine, lots of people, lots of outdoor activities including great artists.
What happens? We live in Sweden and here there is something you can be absolutely sure of and that is you can't ever be sure of the weather which was proved once again yesterday.
We woke up to storm, heavily rain and cold 5C! Yes you read it right 5C! We actually had the same weather on Christmas Eve in December hence the headline.
But what did they do? Well, they took it all inside which was extremaly good. I don't think there would have been many there to watch if it should have stayed outside.
Hasse and I went down at 3PM after first having a visit from Gunilla and Per which was very nice. They hadn't been here for a while and drove down in Per's Porsche Carrera :-)
Anyway when we came down to the venue the first thing we saw was H.E.A.T's tourbus so we went there and knocked on the door. All they guys were there. They had just arrived from Västerås where they played on Friday night.
We had a nice time and as usual the guys sang a lot. I love those moments to be with them and here them singing. They are so so good!
With them in the bus were also Darren, or Daz as we call him, from Scotland and his friend Julia from Germany. It was the 36th time Daz saw H.E.A.T!! How about that? He has travelled all over Europe with them and I met him the first time in London on a gig in 2008.
We invited them both to our house and went there for some beers before we returned to the venue. Once there we met many of the H.E.A.T-family that is parents, girlfriends, special fans and a huge crowd. Danniel also came from Alby just to watch them, well not just that. He came home with us for dinner after the show.
H.E.A.T went on at 5.30PM and what a show it was! You couldn't stand still, you just had to move with the music. I know that for a fact because today my body is aching. I know this but then and there I don't have any pain at all. The music just fills my body and moves but as I said afterwards I have to pay. But it's worth it.
Today I'm going to watch the Queen's jubilee on the Thames. I do hope they are having better weather in London. It's still showers here today but not as windy as yesterday.
Did you know we actually had 3 small tornados on the West Coast. That is NOT something we have often here in Sweden.
I'm sorry about the former post I made. It's the same video but I have no idea how it came to be so many of them?!
Have a good week everyone and take care!
Glad you had fun in spite of the crappy weather lol. I saw part of the Jubilee and they have the same bad weather too! I am a Mediterranean/Southern California type of person, I really don't like cold and rainy weather, especially in June!!!!
