Another weekend gone by...

Well not just a weekend but a whole week since last.

Emil, my youngest, turned 25 on Wednesday :-) He was born 10.43 on a sunny Saturday when it was the final of Eurovision song contest. We had planned to BBQ that night with Staffan and Lena but when I woke up I realized we had to change plans. The birth was very quick. He was out in just 4 hours. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Emil.

Then on Thursday I went up to Norrtälje to visit my friend Anne. We had a lovely time and the weather was just gorgeous. After treatment we went to the restaurant "Havspiren" which is situated just by the sea. We actually could sit outside eating enjoying the sunshine and good food.

Then on Friday we had a conference with the Rheumatic district board which started in the terminal of Birka and then we headed out to sea and Åland.
The weather was great but there were big black clouds and a lot of rain but not where we were :-) A good afternoon with lot of work and discussions in the terminal and then a wonderful dinner onboard. Since it was Friday it was crazy onboard. Lots of very drunk people and I have difficulties with all the noice. I tried to shop at the taxfree but I had to go out. It was totally packed in there with long lanes to the cashiers. So I decided to go to my cabin instead and I had a wonderful time watching the archipelago go by. I fell asleep at 11.30 with the base from the disco and the waves of the sea rocking me to sleep. I slept hard until 6AM when some very loud people came "home" to their cabin but I ignored that and went to sleep again.

After breakfast we started the conference again and worked through the day with breaks for coffee and lunch. At one point when crossing the open sea there was a lot of waves and a couple of us didn't feel that well and one had to lie down. But as soon as we came into the archipelago the water was calm.
We arrived home at 4PM and Hasse was so kind to come and fetch me at the terminal.

My cabin which I had to pay extra for (privately) because the ones the other had was sold out when I booked.

So today has been very relaxed and calm but I did make a cake of the first rhubarbs of the season. It was so good!!

Have a good week everyone and take care!

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...

Recap of the week

This week meant a lot to do and I'm afraid I haven't taken the time to write here :-( But here's a recap of what has happened. Monday and Tuesday not very much but I was so, so tired and my joints does not like this weather at all. I have so much pain especially in my hands and fingers which makes it hard even to write here.  On Wednesday I went to Norrtälje to my good friend Anne for some treatment, which was very much needed, lots of chat and also a very good lunch. It's always a pleasure to see her and we have so much to talk about all the time. A true friend who I'm so grateful of having. Next day it was time for work and after that directly to the working committe in the Rheumatic association. Afterwards also meeting in the foundation, where we grant money to people who have applied, and fulfill the rules of the statues. When driving home again at night, it's so dark now and I hate driving in the dark, there was an accident with a big truck a...
