Conference and IKEA-day

Once again a week has flown by and we are getting closer to Advent-time which is nice.
This week I went to a TV-recording of the Swedish version of The Voice with 4 very well-known and loved singers.
My "entourage" was my sister Helen, her daugther Bianca , her friend and Danniel. It was great fun but since it was very close to where my Mom lives it was a long way to drive and it's almost out on the country so when we went to fetch the car it was completely black! You couldn't see anything expect for a very shy moon. I did get to my car and drove home.
On the top of this photo you can see Helen and Danniel with the spot on them.

Then Thursday night a friend of mine won the HMMA for classical song. This took place in Los Angeles and a big congratulation to Victoria Tocca for this achievement. The song is Dark Waltz.
Click on the link and you can see and hear the song.

On Friday I went to a conference for all chairmen/women of the Rheumatic association. Very nice to meet everyone and to really have time to discuss problems, solutions and everything else.
 Before dinner, chatting with friends
View from the window at the hotel. You can see the Globe.

Today I went with my gorgeous daughter-in-law (no they're not married but she's like a daughter to me) We went to IKEA, we had lunch together, looked at a lot of things there along with 10000 others (at least it felt like it) and generally having a good time.  She's so nice and we have fun when we meet. I really love her and I'm so glad that Jonas found such a nice girl. They are still recording and they will, hopefully, be done by mid-December.

Another big thing this week, actually yesterday, was the my niece in San Diego turned 40. Happy birthday Lizzie. I'm a bit sad because it's hard when you live so far away. You can't give her (or any of them) a big hug on their birthday so I have to send a virtual one :-)

I hope you all have a great Sunday and coming week. By the way, once again, I love reading your blogs (USA-relatives) :-)

Recap of the week

This week meant a lot to do and I'm afraid I haven't taken the time to write here :-( But here's a recap of what has happened. Monday and Tuesday not very much but I was so, so tired and my joints does not like this weather at all. I have so much pain especially in my hands and fingers which makes it hard even to write here.  On Wednesday I went to Norrtälje to my good friend Anne for some treatment, which was very much needed, lots of chat and also a very good lunch. It's always a pleasure to see her and we have so much to talk about all the time. A true friend who I'm so grateful of having. Next day it was time for work and after that directly to the working committe in the Rheumatic association. Afterwards also meeting in the foundation, where we grant money to people who have applied, and fulfill the rules of the statues. When driving home again at night, it's so dark now and I hate driving in the dark, there was an accident with a big truck a...

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...

Today is 1st Advent and though my back is still hurting I could get through our traditional celebrations. That is we invite the H.E.A.T family including the guys, girlfriends, parents, siblings and other friends ;-) This year they could actually be here almost all of them. Last year, if you remember, they were recording their record and couldn't attend. Some of the guys from H.E.AT with girlfriends Then only one and his family that couldn't come today was Erik G and his family but that is because he turns 25 tomorrow and they were having a family celebration for him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance Erik Me, Hasse, Dave, Annie, Bernt and Brita  The first guests arrived at 1PM and the last ones left at 4.15PM but it was never crowded because people came and left at different times. At one time all 30 were in place and it was crowded but oh so nice. Lot of chatting, drinking glögg which were everything from 0% alcohol til much more..... Also I had coffee, "snittar...
