TV-recording HOT HOT H.E.A.T

This is where I want to be now because it's so warm!

Yesterday I spent 5 hours in a very hot studio being jury in a new TV-show in Sweden that is called True Talent. It's kind of the same as the Voice but not. Let me try to explain.

People have been sending in suggestions of great voices or they have sent it themselves. After that 3 coaches has choosen, I don't know how many each, the best voices in their opinion.
Then it's our turn. We had to apply to be jury and then selected. The jury consist of 3 age-groups  - 0-25, 25-50 and 50+. In each group more than 50% must vote yes before allowed turning and see the artist and for the artist to go through to the next step all three agegroups must vote yes. I think it was around 10 or 12 artists yesterday and I really can't remember how many we voted to go through but I think at least 7 or 8. All of them had really good voices but in some cases they had that extra. I remember one of them that grabbed me from the start and that artist was a clear yes very early on.
As we were such a great audiencejury we had to stay extra long to applaud, cheer and smile. But after 5 hours in that H.E.A.T around 40C (I think) it wasn't very easy the 50th time around.
It was me, Helen and Bianca and we really had a great time though. Bianca was upgraded to the 25-50 group and was happy about that but Helen was upgraded to 50+ and wasn't too pleased about that :-) At least she and I got to sit together which was nice.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of this. The TV-show starts on August 23 and I will of course be watching.

Tomorrow we will have nightguests as Staffan and Lena is coming to stay. It's so nice and it's not that often they stay overnight so we will have a great time. I hope the weather will stay nice.

Sunday I'm going to Mom and there I will meet with Helen whose birthday it is on Monday. We will celebrate her, as we have for the past years, so Mom can be involved as well. I think we will have cake and coffee.
I only hope her present will come in time.

I hope you all have a great weekend :-) Take care!

Oh my God

The Christmas smorgasbord I just realized I haven't written anything since November 23! But I can tell you I haven't been lazy but there has been so much going on that I haven't had the strength to write. I had meetings that week and I was supposed to be at a conference hotel for lunch that Friday but I was to tired I had to cancel it. So instead I baked safron buns (!) and made chocolate troufles with ginger.  The ferry On December 1 it was Staffan's birthday (Hasse's oldest son) and I worked and worked at my job. Thursday I and Hasse were supposed to go to the theatre and see Come again Charlie, which was one of my birthday presents - thank you Pär and Brita. But Hasse wasn't feeling well so instead I asked Linnea, my bonus grand daughter if she wanted to go and she was very happy that I asked. We had a really good time and the play, which was a comedy, was funny but also with a message which made you laugh and then stop. It was about the si...

Sad day

Tonight Olle, my adoptive father that has been like my father almost all my life, died just before 9PM. It was very quick. I talked to the nurse at 6PM and everything was calm then. Just a bit over 2 hours later she called and said he's gotten worse. I asked how and she said his skin changed colour and that he could have 10 minutes or 10 hours left. I was just trying to get to my sister on the phone and ask her if we should go down when the phone rang again just 15 minutes afterwards and it was the nurse telling me that it was over. He went very peacefully and in his sleep. At the end he was given a lot of morphine so he wouldn't be in pain, which he wasn't. I called my sister but we both felt that we already had said our goodbyes and therefore didn't go down to say a last goodbye. He is probably up there somewhere looking down and sensing our feelings. We haven't been able to reach our mother yet and we probably won't tonight so I will tell her when I go there ...

Anyone??

I wonder if anyone can see and read my blogg? I haven't had any comments in so long that's why I ask. Erik didn't win a Grammy last night but he had a blast and he and his fiancé looked just great! Another Swede, Ludwig Göransson, won 3 prices though. Congrats to him.
