Back on track :-)

I'm finally back home again - timewise that is. I had jetlag until Saturday which means I had trouble sleeping at night. Woke up several times in the beginning once every hour but fewer as the week progressed.
Also dizziness, a tendency to fall asleep which wasn't very good since I started working on Monday.

Anyway went on and on Friday I once again packed a bag to attend a conference with the Rhematic districtboard at a little hotel in Gustavsberg called Blå Blom (Blue flowers). It was a good conference and the first time I met everyone of the board. Then on Saturday I headed home in the afternoon, shopping on the way because we had all boys including Mandy and my sis Helen and her daughter over for a BBQ since it was Emil's birthday on Monday (9th). Very nice and very good.

Then Sunday I had a couple of girls over for a make-up course. That is we get to try on ourselves to put on a make-up and we had a blast and we were so beautiful afterwards :-)
I made a rhubarbcake with vanilla sauce which we had with some coffee. A very nice way to spend a Sundayafternoon.

So yesterday it was Emil's birthday and he turned 24! Can you believe that my youngest is 24? And I'm still 29 ;-) How does that work?

Tomorrow I'm attending a course in Uppsala with my job. It's about insurances and pensions :-) Should be fun to learn more about that area.

Then Thursday I'm invited to dinner by the Rheumatic association in Sollentuna (as I'm no longer their chairman)
And finally on Friday I'm off to the Opera to see Don Pasquale. So a week filled with work and pleasure. As it should be.

And the weather has improved and the last 2 days we have had nice temperatures around 20-24C.
Hope it will stay that nice.

Have a nice week and weekend and take care!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
