Sunday September 5

Only 10 days left to my birthday. Not a big deal, I will be 56, but I love celebrations, gifts and thoughts. The more the better :-) I think we all do deep inside even though some say they don't bother.
I was taught by the greatest - My Mother. She always celebrated us both birthdays and namesdays and she too, of course, wanted the same back. So we really had, and still do, to remember her names and birthday, which we did, of course, with joy. When I was little I used to lie in bed waiting for my family to come in and sing. It was so hard going to sleep the night before and I always woke up so early. Then I could here them whisper before opening the door singing Happy Birthday. Breakfast in bed with cake and presents. Those days were the best.

Nowadays I don't like eating breakfast in bed. Too many crumbes and not nice to sleep on. I do want to be celebrated with a nice breakfast, presents and much love. For me this is so important so I try to see to it that I remember to congratulate everyone I know. If only with a greeting via email or sms. My friends and family I give gifts of course and that depends on how many years they will be and what they are interested in.
The best is to finding out the perfect gift for each person and then see how happy they are when they open them. It isn't the most expensive gift that is the most dear to my heart. It's when the person really have tried to give something personal. That shows real love and interest.

I didn't make the crayfishparty yesterday because I woke up with fever and a sore throat so I stayed in and took it slow as I have today. Feeling better now and I will go to work tomorrow. Can't miss a Monday and a good lunch :-)

I can also tell you that H.E.A.T have recorded some demos with their new singer Erik G. I haven't heard it yet but I'm sure it sounds great :-)

Have a good week and I'll talk to you soon

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
