H.E.A.T on tour and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Marvin

Today H.E.A.T started their European tour together with the Poodles and Treat. The tour is called Sweden Rocks Europe tour 2010.
Due to the Islandic vulcano and the ashcloud they didn't want to wait too long and maybe not be able to be there at all so today they started the tour by bus. They are going to Madrid where the first concert is on Friday. Saturday in Pamplona and Sunday in Barcelona.

My niece Sonia, her fiance Eric, Aida and her boyfriend Nacho Losada are going to see them in Barcelona. I'm so envious of them to see H.E.A.T but also that Jonas, once again, get to meet our relatives who I have never met. Well, not envious because I think it's great but I would have loved to be there too.

My bonusdaughter Gunilla, her boyfriend Per and Klara were supposed to go to Barcelona to see Zlatan play at Camp Neu but now with all the uncertainty they decided to cancel.

My bonusgrandchild Linnea is supposed to go to Turkey to work as activity leader for Ving in Alanya on Friday. We have to see if she can go. So much depends on this cloud. Isn't it strange that despite all our technology we have nothing to put up against Mother nature. This week we have been forced to travel in the old fashion way. Slow and by train or bus. Good for us who are so stressed out and gives us a chance to meditate and reflect.

I was at a jobinterview on Monday at an architects office. I really liked the place which had a lot of history and used to be stables. Now a professional office with period details. I don't know if I will get the job but if I'm offered it I will take it. I will know in a couple of weeks.

Tomorrow I will meet with my coach in Norrtälje. I hope the snowing will stop until then. Yes, you read it right, it's snowing today. Something I thought would have gone.

Oh, and today is my sister's husband Marvin 70th birthday. A very happy birthday to you and I hope you have a wonderful day. I know you have already celebrated it in Las Vegas with the family but still you can celebrate today as well. :-)

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
