TGIF and fredagsmys, The lost symbol

This morning I woke up with the most horrible headache. It was a very long time since I had a migraine-attack but this was it. When I went up I couldn't open my eyes because it hurt when I did. My neck pulsated with pain every step I took.
But I went down anyway, took a shower, still with my eyes shut, did my makeup and now I had to open my eyes which really hurt. Then breakfast as usual: one egg, one cup of Roiboos tea, 1 slice dark bread with my homemade butter and a slice of cheese. And of course all my medicins but today I also took medicine for my migraine.
Then I was off to work. It wasn't gone then but around 9.30 I did feel better and I was able to work more efficient. I had worked all the time, don't take me wrong, but then it was harder.
It kind of disables you when you have these attacks.

Now I'm fine and I think I need to take it easy this weekend but all of you who knows me also know how hard it is for me to do nothing.

Speaking of something totally different. I have read Dan Browns new book this week, The lost symbol and I must say it was really thrilling. I couldn't almost lay it down, I just had to see what happened next. I have read all the previous ones, including Da Vinci code which I read when I visited my sister Jo for the first time, and I have found them all very excited but this one was certainly the most thrilling of them all, in my opinion. So if you want to have something good to read during this dark, grey month of November I can strongly recommend it.

For dinner tonight I did a new dish with salmon which was delicious. I just fried the salmon, then poured on cream, white wine, lemon, dill some salt and pepper and let the salmon boil slowly in the sauce. I served potatoe mashed with just some butter to go with it and some fresh tomatoes. This I will do again. Both Hasse and me loved it.

Have a wonderful Friday evening or day wherever you are.
Hugs :-)

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
