New course and traffic chaos

I started the new course today and I went by public transportations which I normally don't.
I hate to sit crowded with people sneezing, coughing, talking in mobile phones or listening to MP3's so loud that everyone hears.

This morning, typically, there had been an electric error. Someone or something had teared down an electric cable of some sort on the line I go, of course. This meant that the trains were very late and when my train came I could just squeeze in before the doors closed. At the next station noone could enter and it was so crowded you could hardly breathe. I had to stand the whole way to Stockholm and we arrived just 5 minutes before my course started and I had a 15 min. walk. So of course I was late. But it didn't matter because I wasn't the only one. This morning also on the subway there had been a fire at Gamla Stan subway station and it was risk that things would explode so everyone had to evacuate. All this together with yet another train into town that also was out of order because of something created chaos in Stockholm. The ones who heard this on the radio before leaving of course took their car and the consequence? Yes, you're right traffic stood still. As I said, chaos.

Finally at the course I had one former workmate in the same group as mine and apart from us there was 6 other people, 7 women and one man. The man actually turned out to be cousin to Eric the guitarplayer in H.E.A.T so don't say they world isn't small :-)

Rather good day but LONG and I was so completely tired when I got on the train home. My friend from work, Biggan, and I sat talking and after Solna station I looked up for a moment and I saw a girl standing and I thought to myself " She looks a lot like Tracy". Then she took off her sunglasses and it was Tracy so a very nice ride home.

Tomorrow it's back to the course and I think I will sleep good tonight.

Hasse gave me a book yesterday with some remarkable quotes:

The one who fails often says that success is just pure luck.

One cup of coffee could be the begining of lifelong friendship.

  2. Jag vet, mitt fel. Det är Erics kusins pappa som är i min klass. Han är gift med Britas syster. Calle är professor och bor i Uppsala och de var med i Globen men vi sågs tydligen också i Norrtälje.
    Kram :-)

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
