Another week gone by

Jonas and Mandy in London. LOVE!! Happy 18th Birthday Mandy :-)

Last I wrote I started the new course with traffic chaos. The following day was better traffic wise but it was a long day for me. I came home around 5.30 PM and at 6PM our caterer came to talk about how we are going to seat everyone. More about that the week after next week.

On Wednesday I went to see Mom who had a good day in the sense that she could walk and eat. As usual she has a hard time recognizing people and also me. She can look at me at a photo and say it's me but she doesn't know it's me in front of her. We had a good time and talked a lot about death and funerals. She "sees" Dad quite often and she talked a lot about that too. So very uplifting ;-)
I had bought her some warmer clothes because she's always freezing and soon it will be autumn. She was very happy for them.

Yesterday we packed the program for Rheumatic association's autumn and sent it out to our members.

Today I went to IKEA and bought two bedmatrasses for Hasse and me, a new officechair and some other small things. They were rebuilding so it was hard to find things because they weren't at their normal place.
After that I went to COOP to buy some other things and they also did rebuild. To conclude the shopping I went to Rusta and do you know what they did? Yes, right they were rebuilding.
What is this? Why is every shop doing this right now? Hopefully it will be better afterwards.

Tomorrow I'm going to Skogsröjet in Rejmyre and see H.E.A.T but that isn't really the main purpose. I would never had gone there if it wasn't for Jona's girlfriend turning 18 (coming of age) and he so much wants to be there to celebrate her. So their gig is at 8PM and for an hour and directly after that I drive him to Mandy. That is 2 1/2 hours at least maybe 3 but he will be there just in time :-)
Luckily on the way down I will have company of Karin, Jimmy's girlfriend. She's so very nice and I appreciate it since I'm afraid I will fall asleep otherwise. I will try to take some photos and put here afterwards.

Until then my friends - Have a wonderful Friday evening and Feel the HEAT!!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
