Back from Chill-a-force Rockfestival

Well, we are safely back from the festival. We were really lucky weatherwise because the two first days it had rained and rained and rained but when we came it was sunshine and warm.

It was only me and Mandy that came and we drove down to the parkingarea to park the car but when I saw how it looked I said I wouldn't park there if they paid me. It was a mud field and I bet we would have had difficulties driving the car from it. So I turned and parked by the store in the village. It was just 100 meters from the venue and FREE. On the field it cost 150 SEK!!

Jonas had been so kind and put me on the guestlist which mean I didn't have to pay (595 SEK for one day) and I am so happy for that. He also gave me access to the Monster area but we couldn't get VIP-passes (only the girlfriends) but we were all happy. When I talk about we I mean all the other parents and also an aunt and cousins. A big happy family we are - the H.E.A.T family and the extended H.E.A.T family.
We had a lot of fun but when Brita and I wanted to go to the toilet we absolutely refused to go on the "Bajamaja" which this third day was disgusting! We tried to go to the VIP-toilet which was a WC but got a no. Then we went to another place and I talked to a security man and I charmed him so he took us into the VIP-area so that we could do what we needed to do.
The rest of the evening we borrowed the girlfriends VIP-passes whenever we needed the restroom :-)

The bands playing before H.E.A.T were not so good. I did like Nightingale but Hot Leg was so bad and I don't know what they did really. Also some other bands before weren't that great. Just a lot of noise and no melody at all. We missed Dynazty which was bad because I like them and also Nils, their singer, was standin for Kenny last autumn.

Finally it was time for H.E.A.T to take the stage and how they did it!!! The largest crowd so far watched and we were just in front. They did a great gig and the crowd sang along not only to 1000 miles but to every song which was great. They also had much more pyro going on which was nice. They are growing so much and since I've been there from the beginning I can really see how they have grown.

I'm also a bit of celebrity I have discovered :-) It started as soon as we had parked the car. When going down on the street someone shouted Mia you're here how nice. It was a guy and I think I know him from Facebook. There were several people shouting Mia, hugging me and talking about H.E.A.T. Also an arranger of music events came up to me asking if I wasn't Jona's Mom and I of course said yes and then she told me that she had arranged a concert with them and she thought they were so good.

Oh my God

The Christmas smorgasbord I just realized I haven't written anything since November 23! But I can tell you I haven't been lazy but there has been so much going on that I haven't had the strength to write. I had meetings that week and I was supposed to be at a conference hotel for lunch that Friday but I was to tired I had to cancel it. So instead I baked safron buns (!) and made chocolate troufles with ginger.  The ferry On December 1 it was Staffan's birthday (Hasse's oldest son) and I worked and worked at my job. Thursday I and Hasse were supposed to go to the theatre and see Come again Charlie, which was one of my birthday presents - thank you Pär and Brita. But Hasse wasn't feeling well so instead I asked Linnea, my bonus grand daughter if she wanted to go and she was very happy that I asked. We had a really good time and the play, which was a comedy, was funny but also with a message which made you laugh and then stop. It was about the si...

Anyone??

I wonder if anyone can see and read my blogg? I haven't had any comments in so long that's why I ask. Erik didn't win a Grammy last night but he had a blast and he and his fiancé looked just great! Another Swede, Ludwig Göransson, won 3 prices though. Congrats to him.

Sad day

Tonight Olle, my adoptive father that has been like my father almost all my life, died just before 9PM. It was very quick. I talked to the nurse at 6PM and everything was calm then. Just a bit over 2 hours later she called and said he's gotten worse. I asked how and she said his skin changed colour and that he could have 10 minutes or 10 hours left. I was just trying to get to my sister on the phone and ask her if we should go down when the phone rang again just 15 minutes afterwards and it was the nurse telling me that it was over. He went very peacefully and in his sleep. At the end he was given a lot of morphine so he wouldn't be in pain, which he wasn't. I called my sister but we both felt that we already had said our goodbyes and therefore didn't go down to say a last goodbye. He is probably up there somewhere looking down and sensing our feelings. We haven't been able to reach our mother yet and we probably won't tonight so I will tell her when I go there ...
