The operation went well

I'm so happy that my friend J's operation today went well. Her daughter wrote me twice during the day telling me about the progress and the last time she wrote she said that J had been awake and responsive which is a very good sign. Her operation lasted from 9AM until late afternoon but the brain is a tricky place to operate in I think, and I'm no doctor.

I will have more news tomorrow hopefully.

Today nothing much happened really. It was a quiet day after work. H and I just visited the bank in Sollentuna and then went into the new built mall or should I say the mall in building process. Not much is ready there but it will probably be quite nice when finished.

Then we headed back home and had as I said a nice afternoon. It has been snowing and raining today and it never went light just a grey sky and no sun.

I'm not going to Linkoping next week because H.E.A.T's concert has been cancelled due to K not feeling well yet. Now he will have time to recover completely til their tour in January and also before the Pre Eurovision here in Sweden in February-March.

I really must start thinking of Christmas gifts but it's not that fun anymore since all the kids both own and grandchildren are so grown up now so they only want money. That's not funny I think. I love to figure out what gift will suit best to each and everyone. I also love to do parcels, beautiful parcels, that's a part of Christmas to me. But now they just want envelopes with money. I have to wait until J, D or E get me some grandchildren so we can start over again :-)

  1. Jag vill inte ha pengar, tycker det är ganska tråkigt. Om ni nu tänkte köpa någon julklapp till mig i år så prata med mamma för hon vet vad jag önskar mig. Kram

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
