Spamalot and very hot

On Saturday my celebration continued with going to the theatre with my sister Helen and her kids Bianca and Toni. We saw Spamalot which is a musical built from Monthy Pythons film Monty Python and the holy Grail. It's so funny and has great songs. I did see it in Malmö last autumn but this time it was a different cast and the leading lady is played by a friend Nina Söderquist. She played the role in London after winning a TV-competition here in Sweden where the price was to get the role as Lady of the Lake. When I was in Malmö she was on maternity leave and it was another one playing that role. Very good but not the same as Nina. She did a marvellous job and I can't imagine anyone else now doing that role. Afterwards we met up with her to chat for a while before the next show - yes, they do two on Saturdays. Bianca, Nina, me and Toni As you can see from the photo she's still with make-up. I had bought champagne in a nice package with a card and also made a big photo o

One year older but not feeling it :-)

So has yet another birthday gone by and I don't feel any different. I'm now 57 and I'm glad I am. I don't understand people who doesn't want to celebrate that they have achieved one more year of this short time we have on earth. I love celebrate every day and I say Carpe Diem. This is me totally without any make-up at all . Not too bad :-) I really had a great day with lots of people gratulating me especially on Facebook where over 100 of my friends sent messages. Thank you all. I love you <3. The day before I made two different cakes which I brought with me to work. They seemed to like them both :-) Because it was my birthday and I didn't want to bake anymore I brought the rests back home for dessert. The cakes Jonas, Mandy and Danniel came for dinner and we had a great time. Emil couldn't come because he was abroad on holiday.  When I got home from work I started cooking and made a new dish with tenderloin of pork which I served with

Test pilot

Well, today I applied to be testpilot for a new healthier fish from Findus, coated with less egg and breadcrumbs. Since I usually not eat readymade fish like this I'm really interested in tasting this new thing and see if I like this more. It has before been more breadcrumbs than fish so this new product is said to have more fish. I hope I will be choosen for this. If you're interested you can read about it on this link: FINDUS TEST Otherwise it has been an ordinary Monday with work and a delicious lunch. In two weeks it's my turn again so I have to start thinking of what to cook :-) It's the last time this year so much depends on it. Do you have any suggestions? Have a good evening and talk to you soon :-)

9/11 10 years after

Today is a day for rememberance. Even though I'm not American it seems to me like the attack on 9/11 was an attack of the world. Nothing has really been the same since. Just look at all the extra precautions that followed especially when you're flying somewhere. I remember coming home from work around 3PM and as usually I turned on the TV. There was an extra broadcast on SVT saying that a plane had crashed into WTC twin tower. I switched to CNN for live coverage and I saw the devestation and realized that this must be a bit more than a small plane. I didn't even think that thought ready before I see the second plane crasch into the other tower and I just gasped. What is happening I thought. Then I heard the reporter saying that yet another plane had crashed into Pentagon and there were talk about more planes. I wondered if the whole world had gone mad. What is happening? Are they attacking more countries? I just sat there in front of the TV wanting to see more of what w

H.E.A.T news ?

This is an article I found on a website today. Is it true? I don't think they will enter but you never know. http://poplight.zitiz.se/artikel/heat-i-melodifestivalen-2012#comment-13469 Sorry it's in Swedish but it says that H.E.A.T have been asked if they wants to enter in the Swedish Eurovision contest 2012. Apparantly there is a composer that has written an AOR-song especially for them. The same who wrote the Swedish entry this year that ended 3rd place in Eurovision song contest. Well greater miracles has happened before ;-)

IKEA

Remind me to never go to IKEA on a Sunday at the beginning of the month when everybody still have some money left!! I went with Jonas today to buy him and Mandy a new bed. When we arrived there were no parking space at all so we had to cirkle around. Then suddenly a lady pulls out and I'm immediately there but what do you think happens? This crazy man came from the other way and just pulled in thus blocking both me, the lady that was driving away AND he couldn't get in properly!! What is it with some people?? Jonas said that we should go home. It was too crazy but just as he said that I saw a spot and I was in, yippie. So into the store, up to the bed department, trying out beds, deciding for one, down again for some linen, head to the cashier. No, I take the fast cashier where you check out yourself scanning your goods and paying with IKEA card. So we were out very quickly, then waiting for the bed and then for the transport service. We couldn't take it in the car so t

September is here

It's September already and soon my birthday :-) Summer went by so fast and here the evenings are getting darker and darker and it will get worse all the way until December when it's dark almost all day. On the bright side is that the air is brisk and clear and it's easier to breathe rather than the humid weather we have had. They do say we're going to get some warm days now over the weekend but so far it has been rain and thunder. Tonight we're having dinner guests, our very good friends Kitte and Janne and also Laila who is visiting from Gotland. I'm serving gazpacho with shrimps and pain riche, then a delicious Lasagne and for dessert Toscapears with vanilla icecream. Does it sound good to you? Since I have been working both Thursday and today I had to make food that I could prepare beforehand so I did the Lasagne yesterday (which often makes it more tastier) and also the gazpacho. I hope you all will have a nice evening. My thoughts goes out to my sis
