Sorry....:-(

I haven't written in such a long time, two weeks. I have, as I wrote last, broken my toe and I have had difficulties walking to say the least. It's getting better but now my calf on the other leg is hurting. Probably because I have taken most of the load on that one.

The Rheumatic District work is in full bloom again and I have had meetings both with the board, with the budget group, with the web group and also the party committee. We have a conference coming up in 3 weeks so a lot of planning with that too.

Then my work celebrate its 10th anniversary next year so I have the task of planning a trip for all of us to Berlin in March. I have never been there so that will be interesting. I have already learnt a lot about Berlin, where to stay, what to see etc.  Something to look forward to.

We will also have something for our clients of course and that will take place January 13 which is the day we throw out Christmas. So it will be that theme.

But first it's time for wedding. Yes, on Saturday my best friend's daughter is getting married. It's her kids that "adopted" us as grandparents many years ago, so on the guestlist we are listed as Grandma and Grandpa :-) I'm so looking forward to that too.

Other than this it's quite calm ;-) I take every opportunity to rest which I really need with all my inflammations going on, but I don't want to stay home. I mean I don't get any better if I'm home so if I only can drive to work I will. I really enjoy my work and since I only work 3 days a week I can cope. I rest the other days, that is when I don't have anything else planned ;-)

H.E.A.T was at the American embassy here in Stockholm because they need a working permit to be able to play in Chicago in October. I so wish I could be there! But I'm going on the cruise so I can listen to them and maybe, just maybe they will sing something for me on my party :-)
Jimi Jamison at Firefest. Jonas on keyboard and Tommy Denander on guitar

We got sad news on Tuesday that Jimi Jamison had passed away only 63 years old. Jona played with him and also toured with him in 2010 and 2011 and I saw him and them in 2010 in Nottingham. Such a loss.
Below is a link to the Baywatch theme with Jimi, Jona on keyboard, Jimmy Jay on base and Tommy Denander on guitar

Take care everyone and be kind to each other!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
