Cruise to Åbo (Turku) with the boys

View from our suite. Gorgeous!

Last weekend I didn't do much. No exciting outings or anything, just hanging around the house.

On Tuesday I went to a friend for dinner. She has her birthday on Sunday so me and our other friend met up at her house to celebrate her. Very nice and a very good dinner.

Then on Thursday I first went to Norrtalje for some treatment, chat and lunch with my very good friend Anne. She is so good in reflexology and that helps me a lot. We had a wonderful lunch at the Åtellet in Norrtälje before I headed back home.

At home the boys, Danniel, Emil and Hasse waited for me because we were going on a cruise to Åbo in Finland which we treated Danniel and Emil to. Hasse and me had one of those luxurious suites with big balcony and the boys had a A cabin with window very close to our suite. Why wasn't Jonas with us you may ask? Well, he was in Gothenburg with H.E.A.T playing at the Gothenburg culture festival.

We had an excellent dinner before heading down to taxfree shopping and some gambling on the machines :-) Listened to some music but not much action on board since it was a Thursday. But we had a good time before going to bed.

We also like it
The next morning when in Turku (the ship is just there for 1 1/2 hour so no time to go ashore) we had breakfast before going to our suite and the balcony where we sat in the beautiful weather just enjoying the sun and the sea. Danniel and Emil went down to gamble and to shop some more. Me too and suddenly it was time for lunch which we had at Bistro Alex.
We had so nice waitresses both in the evening but also to lunch. She talked a lot to us and told us about her being on big cruise ships around the world. Very interesting and very nice.

Do you see the rainbow going down in the water?

Today I have been, together with Ingvor, looking for smart 4K TV sets for the Rheumatic district. We want to have two of them to be able to have lectures and education in an easy tecnical way.
Next week we are presenting this to the working committee.

And tomorrow it's time for me to cook for my work. I have figured out what to do but I won't tell you until afterwards. You never know if someone is reading this ;-)

So have a good weekend and week everyone and take care!
Carpe diem!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
