Brunch cruise in Stockholm archipelago

What a day we had picked for our brunch cruise!! The weather was gorgeous, around 23C, sunshine and a breeze.  Me and Helen on deck   The new ride at Grona Lund After finally finding a parking place on Strandvagen, which isn't easy, we headed to the boat. It's a steamship called Stockholm.   The Danish Royal ship - Dannebrogen On the opposite quay was the Danish royal ship, Dannebrogen. We thought it must have already come for the Princess wedding on June 8. The Danish royals always stays on that boat during Royal parties instead of a hotel or castle.   My beautiful sister in the ship and you can see the brunch table behind . As soon as we had left the brunch started. There were all sorts of things, smoked salmon, herrings in all forms and shapes (which I don't eat), sausages, salads, bread, meatballs, chicken and much much more.   Stockholm is beautiful! The dessert table was just delicious!! And so it kept on. We were out fo...

Busy, busy as usual :-)

I have worked hard since I last wrote. I have also planned and been on our Chairmen conference, which was very nice. We started last Friday in the morning by having boardmeeting with the board. After lunch the chairmen (women mostly) came and we had a very interesting lecture in the afternoon which ended with questions and discussions. After an hour of rest we met in the big dining room and we were treated a wonderful 3-meal course (which I had selected). First we had Toast Skagen, then we had fillet of hart with a deliciouse sauce of madeira. For dessert a fruitsallat with vanilla icecream. After dinner a very good friend of mine, Chris who is troubadour, entertained us. Here is a sample of what he sang: HALLELUJAH We continued on Saturday with the conference and had a very awarding day. After dinner, once again outstanding, with deer for starters, char with white winesauce for main course and a chocolate cake with rasberrysauce for dessert . Delicious!! We went down to the p...

Birthday week with BBQ

This week was Emil's birthday. He turned 26 and is my youngest!! How can I have a son of 26 and he's the youngest? It's quite hard to take in that it was 26 years ago. He was my easiest one to deliver :-) It took just over 4 hours from the first contraction until he was out. It was the day of the Eurovision Final and I remember Johnny Logan won. Amongst others were Gente di Mare and Israel's Huppa Hulle Hulle hulle. The day was just beautiful with sunshine (although they had predicted rain) and a temperature around + 25 :-) Long time since that happened. Anyway we had BBQ and each of us did our own skewer. We had fillet of pig and beef, sausages spicy and not so spicy, corn, tomatoes, red onions, mushroms and meatballs. To that I served fresh dill boiled potatoes and a wonderful sallat with avocado, feta cheese, sallat, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. It was truly a feast. Jonas and Mandy also came and we had a great time together :-) I have also been on ...

H.E.A.T live at Katalin

Here's another great video from H.E.A.T's performance yesterday night at Katalin. This is one of my favorites and especially with the sax player. Great song, great musicians! Enjoy! If you're ever near a place where H.E.A.T will play - go and see them! They are so awesome live. But if you don't have that opportunity do the next best thing and that is to buy their record - ADDRESS THE NATION. In and out of trouble

H.E.A.T at Katalin in Uppsala

Here's a link to one of the songs H.E.A.T performed at Katalin in Uppsala yesterday night (or rather 2 songs). I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Great atmosphere, lots of fans and a big chunk of family, friends and relatives. We had a great dinner together (we were 36 in our "support" group). It's not that often they play near where we live so we all jumped to the chance. Sorry for the bad photoquality on this video. H.E.A.T at Katalin
