Back home again, final of Clash of the choirs

Yes, I'm back home again after 2 wonderful days together with other chairmen/women from the Rheumatic assocation. It's always nice to meet and discuss matters that are of interest in our association. We also have class today to learn more and get tips about our role as leaders.

Yesterday evening we had dinner at 6.30. Not the best I've ever eaten I must say because the meat was so leathery and thus hard to chew. So no gourmetdinner. But after dinner we went up to the conference department and we had coffe when suddenly two Italian men started playing the theme from Mio my Mio. We had seen the loudspeakers, the keyboard and guitar but we had no idea what to expect. Then they presented Adele Li Puma and those of you that our Swedish I think know who she is. She is born in Sicily but lives in Sweden actually in Upplands Väsby! She sang the most beautiful Italian songs with help from one of the men. Everything from Volare to Gigi (oh I love that song). Then she had us all up dancing (!) and that is not bad if you think that all of us has rheumatic diseases and aches and pains.
I have had so much pain today especially in my neck and back but it was worth it. See photos.

So the rest of the weekend I think I will take it easy and relax since next week will be filled again when I go to Falun for the course and then lunch on Thursday when I get back and to my sister Helen for teeth checkup on Friday. So once again a week when I know what I have to do :-)

Soon the final of the TV-show Clash of the choirs is and I'm going to see it. I love the form this show has. It's actually a Swedish singer, Caroline af Ugglas, that invented the idea and she participated in this show but was voted off a couple of shows ago. Looking forward to this because it's not only the 2 choirs that performs but all choirs are back today to perform.
So I say bye and have a wonderful Saturday evening whatever you do.

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
