OK folks it's time

Time for what you say? It's time to vote for H.E.A.T as your best hardrockband and newcomer of the year. This time it's the Swedish metal awards that needs nominations for this among other.
I hope you all want to support H.E.A.T by nominating them.

Otherwise this has been a cold day with frost still on the ground although it's miday. I don't like it because I have sprained my ankle and of course due to this I got a lumbago so now I'm afraid if I slip I can hurt myself even more and I don't want that!! If you would see me walk now you would laugh so much. I look like a 100-year old woman would walk on ice and sometimes I even feel like it :-). What's positive is that is sunshine, a clearblue sky and the air is so fresh. I love that.

What's for dinner today? Well, I thought of doing a broccoli-cheese soup. Would you like the recipe? Healthy and good only 417 kcal per portion.
OK here it is:

BROCCOLI-CHEESE SOUP

300 g leek
1 tablespoon olive oil
1,5 liter water
4 stock cubes (vegetables or chicken)
600 g broccoli
240 g cooked white or brown beans
100 g cheese 17% riped roughly grated
8 slices of coarse rye bread

Instructions:
Fry the leek in a big pot. Add water, stock cubes and broccoli. Let it boil utnil the broccoli is soft around 10-15 minutes. Add the well rinsed beans. Use a mixer or a blender, pour the soup in and make it smooth. Finish off by stiring down the cheese. The soup musn't cook anymore and it's ready to serve alongside with the coarse rye bread.

Bon appetit!

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
