Just an ordinary day

I woke up at 5 AM as usual but I was so tired today. I don't know why and it continued so I decided I would take a nap after lunch and after being out with Hilma.
I came home, made lunch which we ate, then out with Hilma and I made the bed. Then the phone rang. It was O wanting me to write a letter to the county administration board about rewoking his driving license. So I said yes and I will do that but I didn't today.
Then I had to call Mom's ward to talk to the nurse and ask if they had taken all the tests she needed before we are going to the rheumatologist which we are November 25.
Then I got a mail from one of the board members that were going on the conference trip Sunday saying she can't come. So I have to try and ask someone else.
Then I had to call L because we are probably going to Gavle on Friday or Saturday for a visit and also L and I need to do this ESTA, which is new when you are travelling under Visa Waiver. Now you do this electronically and I need to have passport numbers so we are doing it on their computer.

After I was done with all this it was time to start dinner so no nap this afternoon either.
What did we have for dinner? OK, here it is, we had a sausage and currypan. The recipe? Here it is:

Sausage and currypan

400 g falukorv Falun sausage
1 tablespoon butter
1 red or yellow pepper
100g yellow onion
2 teaspoon curry
1 apple in dices
4 dl crushed tomatoes
240 g cooked white beans
1 mango in dices
3 dl wholemeal rice

Fry the sausage in butter in a pan. Add onion and pepper. Sprinkle curry, stir around and add apple and tomatoes. Let it cook for a couple of minutes. Finish off by adding white beans and mango. Serve the dish with boiled rice.

That's it folks. Now I really need my beauty sleep because tomorrow night it's full moon and we all know what that means.....

WOW!!! I just have to say Wow!

Why do you ask? I just got a mail telling me that I have won a romantic trip to Paris for 2! I enrolled in this competition, last year, which was to write a slogan and I had forgot all about it when the mail came. I didn't remember it even then so I had to go to the site and see what it was :-) I'm so happy! and so is Hasse :-) We had a great Easter which started with a wonderful ballet, Giselle, at the Royal Opera with my friend Carina. We are going again tomorrow to see Puccinis Turandot :-) The next day Easter Day we went to Gavle and this time we actually stayed at a hotel, Elite Grand hotel. A newly opened hotel, March 1, where we had the executive suite. What a suite! I have to show you some photos. One of the best suites I've ever stayed in!   The suite taken from the "living-room area"  From the "cosy" area with wood burning stove   Our "little" bathroom with green marble Part of the bedroom What do yo...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...
