ESC, Gondolen

Yesterday H and I had the most wonderful afternoon and evening. H, my sister, gave us a gift that included a 8-course meal including champagne and wines which we had at the Gondolen restaurant high above ground in Stockholm city (see photo). It was a beautiful evening with sunshine and Stockholm from her best side.
The 8-course meal was a tastemenu and we had a small version of them which was good. Everything tasted just wonderful except the veal liver terrine, which mainly was because I don't like liver. Otherwise it was a real gourmet experience both the wines and the food. In fact I got a bit tipsy of all the wine but it was worth it!
We ate for over 3 hours but we had so much to talk about and discuss so time just flew away. THANK YOU so much H for this wonderful gift.
Today we went to see Mom and O because it's Mother's Day here tomorrow and I had bought a lot of clothes for them both and a gift for Mom. They were so happy with the clothes. They thought they all looked very pretty and nice, which made me happy. After visiting them we went to see D and he had made a wonderful applepie with vanilla custard. Yummie!
Tonight it's the final of Eurovision Song Contest and of course I'm going to watch. I hope Sweden wins, of course, but there are some songs I like as well. We have to wait and see what happens.
H.E.A.T is doing well and is on Ginza's 20 top list of most sold albums!
They do need to make a tour because there seems to be a demand for that. So many different nationalities have found their music which is so cool. There are Australians, Brazilians, Germans, Spanish, Americans among others. I do hope things will turn out well and that they will be able to live of their music eventually.
My lucky moment today was that D had made that applepie specially to Mother's Day :-)
My lucky moment yesterday was of course when sitting with my husband, eating this wonderful meal while looking out over the most beautiful capital there is.

BIRTHDAY, H.E.A.T, E.R and more...

Some of the wonderful flowers I got And some more Last week didn't start out well. On Monday I woke up and could hardly walk. I had such pain every step I tried to take. But off to work anyway. Tuesday even worse so I went to the doctor's office and asked to borrow crutches. Wednesday at work jumping on crutches, that must have been a sight ;-) But when I came home from work Wednesday I had fever so I went to bed quite early but didn't sleep well because of the constant pain. Thursday morning I woke up and had fever so I called the hospital and they said I had to go to the E.R. I hate that and if I can I always try to avoid it. But I was in so much pain I had to. I came and after a while they took bloodtests, urine and then I sat in a kind of smallish room. After being there for about 3 hours a doctor came and said I probably should see and orthopedic and not a medicine doctor. After one more hour another doctor came and said my bloodtest showed I had an i...

Recap of the week

This week meant a lot to do and I'm afraid I haven't taken the time to write here :-( But here's a recap of what has happened. Monday and Tuesday not very much but I was so, so tired and my joints does not like this weather at all. I have so much pain especially in my hands and fingers which makes it hard even to write here.  On Wednesday I went to Norrtälje to my good friend Anne for some treatment, which was very much needed, lots of chat and also a very good lunch. It's always a pleasure to see her and we have so much to talk about all the time. A true friend who I'm so grateful of having. Next day it was time for work and after that directly to the working committe in the Rheumatic association. Afterwards also meeting in the foundation, where we grant money to people who have applied, and fulfill the rules of the statues. When driving home again at night, it's so dark now and I hate driving in the dark, there was an accident with a big truck a...

Christmas gift

For Christmas I got a giftcard to Amazon.com from my sister Jo. It was a real treat to go to the site, explore and find something to buy. There are so many things there and it's hard to choose. For me, leaving in Sweden, it's a bit easier. I just cross the square that says "ships to Sweden" and I get all the things I can order. My choice was Bliss socks and a big bottle of Dermalogica body cream. They came today and I'm so happy. So once again a big thank you big sis for the generous gift.
