Visit to the cemetery and a wonderful Magic flute at the Opera

A scene from the Magic flute As I told you in my last post I was going to the Royal Opera to see Mozar's The Magic flute. What a performance that was! The Opera was sold out, not one seat left. The opera itself was so funny and with some twist and turns you wouldn't expect. For instance, the opera started with a sleeping Tamino - in the audience front row in the stalls. From there he, after pretending being asleep for a good 15 minutes, went through the orchestra pit and up to the stage via a ladder. And it went on from there. I had some good laughs as well as just enjoying the beautiful music. Me by the grave Then today me and Helen visited Mom and Dad's grave. It's not All Saint's Day until next weekend but then the cemetery will be packed with people which means no peace, quiet and time to reflect. Today it was very peaceful and we placed candles by the grave as well as a little wreth with flowers and cones. Also Helen had bought a couple of s

More Firefest....

Although I wasn't there it feels like I was :-) I have heard so much about it through my Facebook friends and also friends and family who actually were there. Klick the link below to listen to: BEG, BEG, BEG H.E.A.T at Firefest I love this version of Beg, Beg, Beg :-)So much energy, so much musicality, so much joy and what an audience!  Love this photo of Jonas. Thank you Sean Larkin for letting me use it :-) For me this week has been rather ordinary. Nothing special, just work and rest. I really needed it after the last couple of weeks that has been crazy. Tomorrow I'm going to the Royal Opera with my good friend C and we will enjoy Mozart's Magic flute. On Sunday me and Helen are going to visit Mom and Dad (at the cemetery) to light candles for them and see how the stone turned out. I wish you all a wonderful weekend :-)

H.E.A.T on Firefest in Nottingham, me educating economy

H.E.A.T in Nottingham I haven't been writing since October 6 and that is because I have been making all education material I needed for October 19. It has taken me almost 2 weeks in the time I have before I become too tired to do anything.  Gorgeous photo of H.E.A.T What has happened since last then? H.E.A.T came home from China on Tuesday night and then went again on Friday - this time to Nottingham and Firefest where they played for the 4th time. They made a huge success :-) and as always they give their all on stage. (No I wasn't there :-( but I wish I had been) Now they are back again but will head out to France next weekend to play a big festival :-) I'm so glad Jonas get to do this while he's young. He gets to see and experience so much. October 10 I was in Norrtälje for treatment by my very good friend and afterwards, as always, a lunch by the sea. October 12 we went to visit Linnea (our grandchild who has moved to Stockholm) and have coffe

That is a hard schedule they have. China isn't the smallest country and it's very far to go. They actually cross almost the whole of China from the north to the west, south and east. It must be totally fascinating and I know they would at least go on the Chinese wall but I hope they see much more than that.   Setting up for one of the gigs Here's their schedule every day: 05.30 am -                  Wake up, pack your stuff and get ready to go. 06.00 am -                  Go to airport or train station. 07.00 am - 11.00 am - In the air or on the rails. 11.00 am - 12.00 pm   Arrive in a new city and check in at hotel. 01.00 pm - 05.00 pm - Eat lunch, take a trip downtown and/or sleep. 05.00 pm - 07.00 pm - Sound check & dinner 07.00 pm - 08.30 pm - Prepare for show. 08.30 pm - 10.00 pm -
